Purchased this bed, and put every piece together, until the last pieces, which were too long to to fit into the frame. The foot rail and slats were about an inch too long, which made it impossible to put a mattress on top. Very disappointed.
Weve used this frame for a little over a year now. Its fine, its pretty sturdy (although it does creak), but the biggest issue is that its incredibly sharp - seriously so sharp. We hit our shins and knees on it daily and its super painful. Currently have at least 5-6 bruises.
This platform frame was just the height I needed, and it seems very sturdy.
Two things:
Be aware that the frames holes for a headboard may not line up with your existing headboard. Ours could not be bolted in, so the handyman who assembled the bed frame instead strapped the headboard to the wall.
Also: There are metal legs on the center of each side as well as at the corners of the frame, a feature that our previous, conventional bed frame did not have. The legs are not recessed at all, and they are very easy to stub ones toes against. My husband didnt realize there was a center leg on his side of the new bed, and he immediately banged his bare foot against it so hard that his little toenail began to bleed profusely. Luckily he did not lose the toenail. but his foot was very sore and his toe had to be bandaged for a couple of weeks. However, to prevent this happening again, I got some 3M-adhesive cushioning pieces, such as are used for protecting toddlers from furniture corners, and now they are in place on the frames top corners and legs, to protect OUR legs and feet.
Beautifully designed and executed piece. It was also packaged exceptionally well. It went together as easily as possible using the tools that came in the packaging. Probably easier with you own tools.
I could not help thinking while unpacking and assembling that whoever designed and made this really cared about their work.

Two years so far
Ive had this bed frame for two years now, its still great. I did move with it and I unassembled and reassembled it with ease.

Im so glad that I spent the slightly more money on this frame! No squeaking, no movement. Its amazing!

Sturdy, well machined and designed. All parts fit. Result in a stiff quiet frame.
