The quality of this bench is pretty meh. It gets the job done but you can see failures in the craftsmanship without really going looking for them. One of the drawers doesnt sit flush with the other 2. The joints dont quite meet so you can see all of the corners. the unit itself is a bit crooked and doesnt sit flush on the two walls in the corner I have this placed at. I would absolutely return it if it wasnt such a huuuuge hastle to do it. This is most certainly not worth nearly $300 once you factor in the shipping charge and tax.
They got an extra star for refunding the purchase, otherwise it would have been only 1... product arrived with multiple cosmetic scars. Like cracks in the wood, in one case a two inch splinter. The groove detail on the top drawers was very rough, clearly just routed out and not sanded at all. Would work just fine but I dont really want the first piece people see when they walk in my house to be dinged up. Also dont want my baby cutting himself. Cushion was an ugly off white color and hard as rock. Not that wed sit on it for long or all that often but still, I expected patio furniture quality at least...
Directions were awful. What should have taken little time to put together ended up taking hours to figure out. Also, the drawers dont slide in and out easily. They are rough to pull in and out. I even oiled the slides but I feel its more an issue of the wood on the side of the drawers. What a headache!
This is small, but a good size for what we were looking for. It arrives assembled but unfortunately was damaged in several spots that were very visible.
This bench looks good, but is too small for my intended purpose. I wanted each of my my 11 to 14-y.o. kids to use a drawer and basket to contain their clutter at the front door. The baskets are too small for even 1 pair of my boys shoes.
