First impression was NOT good! There were holes in the box and I could see the upholstery. Sofa is SNUG in the box and I had to basically destroy the box to remove it, so I hoped there was no damage or else Id never get it back in the box to return. As other reviewers said, the legs screws are in a zippered compartment at under the seat very clever! But, on the journey from China, the edges of the metal legs wore through the screw packaging and the fabric backing of the frame. 8 of the 16 screws escaped into the upholstery. In searching for them, encountered sharp wires and splinters. My husband cut his hand and we still only recovered 4 screws. Fortunately, we have a stash of screws from other projects, so we could assemble with 4 for each leg. I was able to tighten with the Allen wrenches provided, but one screw on each leg needed a little extra attention for alignment. When we flipped it right side up (definitely a two person job), we were really pleased though we did drag just a few inches to get into place and one of the pads on the legs tore off. The seat is just the right amount of firm for me and my 6 4 husband napped on it! Time will tell, but right now, Im pretty satisfied with my 270 sofa!
I framed up a wall in my garage for a home podcasting studio/lounge. I needed an inexpensive couch option but didnt want to go as cheap in quality as Ikea or Walmart. I took a chance on this couch and Im super happy. It fits the style and the application. It is inexpensive! When I see any negative reviews I feel like thats just because people are expecting 200 couches to be the same quality of 2,000 couches theyre not. I would buy more products from this brand! Works well.
This sofa sleeper works well in a small room, replacing an old, worn out foldout sleeper sofa with one of those awkward steel mesh mechanism with an uncomfortable thin coil mattress that folded down into the bottom of the sofa and was super/heavy. This sofa arrived in a single box, which I needed help moving into the room, but once it was there, I was able to fairly easily unpack and lift the various components. It assembled relatively easy, though you should use a ratchet or electric screwdriver for screwing on the legs, and be patient in lining up the openings and starting the screwing process by hand. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the sofa padding, both in sofa/mode and bed/platform mode, is extremely firm, but I consider that a plus, as it makes for a firm, non/sinking place to sit when in sofa/mode, which is the vast majority of its intended use. And, I the firmness will help this piece of furniture withstand the test/of/time, and not sag or get imprints of body parts on the sofa seat areas. One aspect that wasnt really spelled/out clearly in the assembly flyer in the boxSeems obvious now, but there are foldout legs, easy to unfolds, in zippered compartments behind the seatbacks that support the sofa back when it is deployed in a flat position. Be sure to unzip and fold these out before flattening! Also really weirdly, it didnt mention anywhere I saw the details of physical action you need to take to flatten the sofa. You need to pull the each of the two part sofa backs forward a bit / kind of counter/intuitive / and then you can hear the latch release, and you can flatten the sofa back down to the floor. Again, dont forget to fold out those legs in the zipper compartments. The yellow color we ordered is a bit different, but we have hard floors and the color seems to work with the color, and in general brightens up the small room a bit. This is really easy to assemble and pretty sturdy.
I was super nervous about buying a 300 sofa and not being able to sit or enjoy it at all. But it actually starts to get comfy with use, and the color is perfect. Its not that functional as a sleeper, but does the work as a sofa. Would buy again. Sturdy.
I could not have found a more perfect convertible sofa for my needs. I bought it for a vintage travel trailer and as you can see, it fits perfectly.
I do NOT have the issue with the split back not aligning which others have mentioned. My advice to anyone buying this sofa is to be very careful with the hinges. It folds both length/wise (into a bed) and seat/wise for shipping. I suspect that those who had problems may have inadvertently put pressure on those hinges. When assembling and adding legs, have a friend help you flip it upright.
I love this sofa a LOT. Sturdy, comfortable, easy This was a big win for me. Ok.
