We bought this bed for our 5 year old son. We were looking for a bed with storage and a little space underneath for a play area. We also ordered the slide and my son loves it. Just a few things we noticed.
The bed itself took about an hour for my husband and I to build together. There were a few areas where you screw into the wood without existing screw holes. I was afraid we were going to screw it in crooked, but didnt seem to have an issue. I dont know if that is intentional or a defect. Also, the headboard and side rails are much lower than I had expected. I didnt realize until we were on the 3rd page of the instructions that the manufacturer recommends using a mattress no thicker than 8.
We already had a 10 memory foam mattress for my son, and no where in the listing did it mention this. There is only about 3 inches from the top of the mattress to the top of the side rail.
The bookshelves are a bit narrow and seems like they will tip easily. There are also small screw holes on the top shelf that Im not sure what are for.
The drawer is nice but took quite a while to assemble, probably not for a novice assembler.
Overall I am happy with our purchase but I am concerned with the sturdiness of the bed, I definitely would not recommend more than 2 small kids on it at once. We will see how long it holds up! Enough strength.
For this price point this is the flimsiest bed weve ever purchased. Im afraid to let my daughter hop down in the mornings. The mattress fits very snug so theres no room to tuck the blanket in.
this was fairly easy to assemble, although we used a drill rather that the Allen key provided as we would have been assembling it all day had we not. our child (3yo) loves the loft bed with a good hiding area/reading nook underneath. The drawers on the dresser are slightly less sturdy than other aspects of this, and we try to be careful when opening and closing them. Very good.
I wish I knew about this bed sooner. Its an aming space saver. I ordered an extra dresser to go under just for extra clothes storage. It took an afternoon to assemble the entire bed, bookcase, and dressers. Definitely recommend! All good.
If you have ever put any of this type of furniture together you already know what the pros and cons can be. Its usually directions and hardware. The good news about this set is that they minimize hardware and the directions are concise and easy to read. Very few steps for the size of the piece of furniture. There are none of those awful cam screws to worry about (if you know you know). The material of the actual piece is really impressive. It is an MDF product but it seems to be very well made and the finish is really nice / almost looks and feels like a high end plastic product like you see for outdoor deckingbut the grain and matte finish make it look and feel like real wood. We bought 2 extra dressers to go beneath each bed. We bought 2 beds and they each have 2 dressers beneath them now for added storage as seen in the pictures. Very happy with the product and kids love them. Great for small spaces.
So far so good. Looks great and seems pretty sturdy. My son is 5 so we have some years and wear and tear to go but as far as Im concerned, great purchase. Love these.
LOVE THIS BED!!
Its an excellent hight, I can still read to my son at bed time. He loves his new bed and shimmies up and down easily. (Hes a good 55 lbs)
It was well packaged (4 separate packages ) and easy to put together. The actual bed frame you really need 2 people. The rest I did on my own and breezed right through it.
Ive put together some pretty crude items and this was the biggest one the easiest!
So unbelievably happy with this purchase!!!!! Its OK.
