Bought it for my 5 year old. She loves it. It was fairly easy to put together, instructions were easy to follow. There was some minor damage to a couple pieces due to shipping, but not worth submitting anything. I added a screw at the base of the stairs to the front leg to just add a little more sturdiness and keep the stairs from moving laterally. You do need to get a thinner mattress, I think 7 inches or less, but they arent terribly hard to find or expensive. Ive climbed up on it multiple times and it holds me no problem, Im about 205 lbs.
The is stamped poorly to follow instructions, there is only 1 support piece underneath (so I added 2 more), the screws and pegs are all together so have fun sorting everything when you open the boxes, and the stairs are only secured to the bed in the back (had to get supplies to secure it myself in the front.
You will need a drill for some pieces or work very hard with the allen wrenches.
The packaging is very safe if its left outside though, no pieces were warped or broken.
Had to add a guard rail because its flush with a regular mattress and not the tatami mat shown in the products pictures.
Customer service was poor because I was supposed to be alerted by the company when it was in stock. They did not do that. I called them and thankfully was able to get one of the last ones before it ran out of stock again.
This is a project, not a simple solution, but if you want/need to build up in your room to maximize space, I recommend it. The stairs intrigued me the most because we have animals and its easier to get up those than a ladder, also going down if you need to go to the bathroom half asleep.
Im 250lbs, I had a heavy mattress and a weighted blanket, felt very secure the entire time. Dont bounce on this bed, but for regular use it is very stable. I had to move to somewhere I couldnt take it with me and I miss it so much! I found it easy to put together, but be aware you really should have a second person help you, I did it myself and almost hurt myself (Im clumsy).
So we obviously used this piece a bit differently than most. Our basement playroom has little square footage, so we decided to create a space for additional space for our child to play. This full/size was perfect for that need. This piece is incredibly sturdy and very well packaged. It is made out of quality and not just some particleboard and laminate design. It took my husband and I about 7 hours to assemble working together. Its assembled largely using an Allen wrench, so I would strongly encourage you to get an Allen wrench drill bit for a power drill to significantly speed up the process. We both commented that had we not had that, it would have definitely taken hours longer. We love the shelf and drawer storage space and the height under the and above the is perfect for adults to sit comfortably in either space. There is a slatted floor for a mattress, however we covered that with several boards screwed down covered by interlocking foam pieces. The railing is about 1 foot high and provides just enough security to allow us to feel comfortable with our child playing up there. If you had a 10 inch mattress, I would honestly be a little bit nervous about sleeping up there given the potential of possibly rolling off. Overall for our need, this 100 fit the bill and we couldnt be happier! Would highly recommend!
Honestly this was hard to put together but it is worth it. A came in with a crack (at no fault of the seller they wrapped it very well) I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one asap. The seller was super helpful. I did put another railing with if cause I was worried my 6 year old would roll out cause we have a thick mattress, and works great to keep all the big stuff animals in the bed. It is super roomie under the bed. We have a little wardrobe on one side and a kitchen set on the other. This is awesome for our small home. We could finally have all her toys in her room and not in the living room
First thing you need to know is this ships from Canada via fed ex. It took two tries to get non broken boards. has great customer service however. It took about 6 hours to assemble ( we did use power tools other wise your hand will fall off). Dont get anything higher than 6in mattress. I dont know how long it will last its not exactly built to last, the is very soft. Once you assemble this its not something you can disassemble and move. I wouldnt say the steps are really designed for anyone above 150 to use. Overall our 9yr old loves it.
So heres my Good, Bad, and Ugly review for this product. Overall, its a decent bed frame. However, at this price point, I expected more.
The Good
Ordered the bed late Jan and it arrived at the end of the month. So shipping time was realistic and arrived ahead of the projected estimates. I got it in espresso, and it looks nice. Once assembled, the frame is pretty sturdy and the shake is reasonable for a bed. It doesnt feel like it is going to fall apart.
The Bad
Whoever packaged the product did their best to prevent damage to all of the parts. Majority of the pieces came intact and undamaged. However, I too had one piece that was cracked, and another that was badly dented. This Id have to lay more with how the boxes were handled during shipping, than the product itself. The cracked part was easily patched and wasnt fatal. One of the boards that would serve as both a step support and shelf had a nasty dent, but this too was easy to work around by just flipping over the piece.
The Ugly
This is probably my biggest point of contention. Majority of the pieces in this build were not labelled, and then there were parts that were labelled but not properly. I spent way more time building this than I thought I would. Ikea furniture is a cakewalk compared to this build. Some parts of the instructions are pretty unclear. Given the cost of this item, I wouldve hoped that all of the parts were clearly and correctly labelled. Sadly, this is not the case here. The other thing I took issue with is how the stairs attach to the frame, while you have to attach the back of the stairs to its parallel back post, nothing is securing the front of the stairs. Meaning one could potentially kick or push the front of the steps and possibly crack the that is connecting the backboard to the post. I ended up drilling in another screw to connect the base of the stairs to the front post. Im also considering making a middle post to place below the bottom shelf to add additional support and reduce the weight/load the bottom shelf currently faces.
Summary
As I stated, the overall end product is decent, and my child really likes it. However, at this price point, I cant really recommend it. If it were 800 less, I could forgive a lot of the issues I encountered. Sadly, this is not the case.
The bed did not come with enough screws to put it together. I had to go out and buy screws. Also, the instructions suck.
Bed was also expensive compared to other beds. Only reason we went with this one was for the steps. My grad daughter has medical conditions that she can not climb ladders.
We put this bed in my kids room a couple of years ago, and could not be happier. The bed itself is sturdy, REAL and solid. It helps you make the most of a small bedroom. We managed to put a desk, a couple of shelves and a small armless cushioned accent chair underneath, to really make the most of the space. The drawers in the stairs are one less piece of furniture to worry about. The mattress sits 52 from the floor, so it definitely helps that my kid is small, and youll want to be sure to use a standard mattress. Extra tall pillow top style mattresses (12+) will put the occupant above the beds side rail. If youre shopping for a bed, you wont go wrong with this one.

It fits what I need to an extent.

Sturdy well made great quality
Directions are a little vague. But its a solid piece of furniture. Very sturdy. And very heavy. But definitely feels like its built to last.
Best thing for a small room
