This was definitely a good choice and I would have given it five stars if they hadnt shipped the boxes through FedEx. The two boxes were also shipped a week apart instead of together and it was very annoying.
Took me about 2 hours to put together by myself. The instructions are pretty easy. It’s a sturdy bed for sure. Overall I think it’s a solid buy. I’m very happy with it and my daughter loves it.
The bed took my wife and I a couple of hours to build. Instructions were easy enough. There was some damage to the headboard pieces from shipping and the ladder wasnt cut properly on one end, but its not noticeable after attaching the hardware. Wasnt worth sending it back.
The bed came delivered in 2 boxes. When I opened the boxes some of the wood pieces were cracked. I previously ordered 2 bunk beds (different styles and companies) for my kids and they all had the same issue. I was over returning stuff so I decided to keep it. It was very easy to assemble however I recommend using an electronic drill so it can go faster. It took four hours for me to complete it. The bed in the floor is not compatible with any mattress over 1-6 inches Im assuming because an 8 inch mattress will not fit under the bed. Why on day two the wheels broke? My 3 year old sleeps on that bed. He weights about 30lbs. Thats it! The bottom bed is cheaply made. The paint is already chipping off the whole bed so if youre looking for something longterm I do not recommend this. However if you just need a temporary bed for a year or so, this will probably do the trick. We shall see lol! Oh and it can separate into 3 separate beds. I hope this review helps someone because I needed that question answered for myself.
Summary: Cheap cracked wood, paint chipping, broken bottom bed, sturdy except for the bottom bed and a space saver. Not for longterm usage.
Shipping took forever. Boxes came all beat up.
Theres a million pieces but onces its all sorted and account for the directions are easy to comprehend.
The top bunk isnt nearly as high as it appears. My son is almost sandwiched. He has to sleep head at the foot end to not feel boxed in we also decided not to even finish the top it was just too close. Its a mess.
It wouldve been better if they made the beds to separate. They did not! The leg lenghts are offset to where you HAVE to build together. My sons wanted the apart sucks that upon building that wasnt an option.
I would return them but I dont feel like taking the million screws out. We didnt even bother putting the trundle together just pushed it underneath.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this bed for any child over the age of 11 at most or over 82lbs despite how much it states the beds can hold.
I had my frame for about 3 months before it literally broke , the slack didn fit all the way across I had to but my own from Home Depot to complete the set up , 3 months after having the bed the leg broke wood cracked so we garilla tapped and glued the leg on
I have 3 daughters and this is perfect since my 2 oldest 12 and 8 want to be both on the top beds. My 3 month old can be in this bedroom once she gets to old for the crib. We can use the bottom bed for our my mom when she visits too. They still have space to play under one of the beds like a little play house. Even their little brother 4 year old plays with them as well.
