Assembly was relatively easy, but you definitely need space, especially for the twin size. We assembled the bed upside down and then flipped it over, so you need clearance to do so. I followed other reviewers' advice and waited until the end to tighten everything, which worked well. The bed comes with two ladders, which is a nice bonus.

Strong and Still

Firstly, the assembly was not too difficult, even for someone like me who isn't handy at all. There were a couple of issues with bolts not going in properly, but in the end, all the hard work and time put into it were well worth it. I would recommend having at least two people there when putting it together, as there are points where an extra set of hands is needed, especially when it comes to flipping parts over and holding things still. We haven't had a chance to mount the bed onto the wall yet, but I have no doubt that it would add more security to the bed's structure and make it even more perfect. We chose this bed because it would accommodate my daughter's growth and needs now and in the future. The desk was a big selling point and was easy to assemble. However, I did notice a problem with a gap where a screw was supposed to go in the desk but there was no place to insert it. The bed is not anchored to the wall and there is some movement, as shown in the video I provided. To minimize any damage to the wall, I plan to use a small piece of 2x4 to anchor the bed to the wall.

The bed is made of a sturdy material, and while it's definitely hard, my son insists that it's incredibly comfortable. I've never had to worry about anyone getting hurt on it, so that's a huge plus. I have two very active climbers and bouncers, so I was concerned about the durability of the bed given its affordable price. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it turned out to be! There was no wobbling or uneasy feeling about the possibility of tipping. The bed even comes with hardware to attach it to the wall and prevent tipping, though I didn't end up using it. I'm 200 pounds and can comfortably lay with my kids on the bottom bunk for story time without any worries. Overall, this bed is a great value for the price.
