This was a pain to put together towards the end. I did well maneuvering all the parts and keeping track of what goes where, but when the time came to attach the bed frame to the hydraulic pumps I died. Definitely could have used a helping hand it took me like an hour to get it to angle properly.
But once that was all taken care of, this is a really great bed. No creaking, once everything is attached the bed lifts easily, and the headboard is nice and soft.
Love this bed but NOT sturdy!! Great design but not built well. Cross metal bar bent then split. Must be designed for 1 young person. Doesnt hold weight well.
Im sure the bed itself is probably fine but I wouldnt know since they sent it without 6 different pieces making it just a pile of parts sitting in my bedroom. They are smal but very important pieces. I cant connect the large headboard pieces without them. I tried contacting directly which they ask you to do in the instructions for replacement parts thinking ok this is frustrating but at least theyll send me the parts. 5 days go by before I get an email saying they havent and cant send the parts without about 6 different kinds of verification that I purchased the product. I send all the information I have with pictures of the product, pictures of the warranty, and pictures of the various shipping info thinking that should be enough. It was not. I apparently also need to send proof of sale and how much was spent. The problem is this was a gift. I did not pay for it. So I dont have that info. Its just six little pieces. I seriously an about to just head to Lowes or something to see if I can find them on my own but that is not cool. I shouldnt have to pay for parts that were already paid for. If actually sends me the parts I will update this review but for now I recommend avoiding this company and the frustration of dealing with their customer service.
It took my daughter and I about 4 hours to put this together but we love it. Looks and feels very high quality. We have a 14 inch mattress on it so you dont see much of the headboard once the pillows are on the bed. I was worried that the lift mechanism might not work or not work well but once it was all put together it is perfect. My daughter is extremely happy with her beautiful new bed and Im thrilled that we have that storage space but I do with it was a few inches deeper.
Love this bed. Storage underneath is a great place to store off/season clothes, decorations etc. Tons of room!. Pneumatic lift is easy to operate. Very nice looking as well.
Put together myself after service no showed. I am a single female and did not require assistance. If you do not have assistance I suggest proping the frame on a chair while attaching as holding and attaching solo isnt possible. Works great, son loves it
UPDATE :
Its 2 1/2 years later, and the bed has gotten
creakier and creakier. The middle bar has bent cracked the slats have snapped off. My boyfriend I are not large/heavy people! In the past 2 years, Ive developed back issues (might be unrelated to the bed, but Ive never had back issues before getting this bedframe).
Were now shopping for a new bed frame maybe a new mattress since I think maybe the bed warped the mattress. I still love the storage function, and its been an absolute lifesaver. But not worth the rest of it. Really bummed as I LOVED this bed when I bought it.

Love this bed! I got it today, and I (a 44 year old, average/sized, not very strong woman) put it together myself. It took about 2.5/3 hours, Id say. But I did spend almost an hour trying to fix a mistake I made (screwed something in the wrong way AND stripped the screw so I couldnt undo it. I ended up drilling my own holes and combined that with duct tape. It worked!).
Anyway, so it is possible to put it together as one person, but I dont particularly recommend it. I kind of wish I had paid the 50 for installation.
As for the bed, its fantastic! Doesnt make any creaky sounds while Im on it. Opens closes fairly easily (its easier to open than it is to close, oddly enough, but its not as hard as I was worried it would be). Its really nice/looking, too. I got the black one. It feels like a quality bed.
everything was good except the gas hydrolics to help lift close the bed WOULD NOT budge at all for me. im not a weak dude they were on the right way but i pushed to the point i was afraid of breaking or bending the frame, luckly you dont nessicarly need the hydrolics but also the screws that hold the back braquets to keep the bed from sliding down when you lift up were also to big now i cant lift the frame up all the way or else my bed slides downother the that it is nice looking a good bed set. but 3 stars for the 2 semi big inconvinces
