What you save in money you pay for in LABOR!!!

This monster was extremely hard to put together. It took my husband and a friend of his over 10 HOURS to build. The instructions aren't very clear and they had to figure out a lot of things on their own because things weren't properly labeled. Like most manuals, the directions are pictures only which is a breeze when you're putting together a chair, but written instructions would have aided this progress tremendously. One piece came damanged and it's super noticeable because of it's placement on the bed. My kids didn't mind, but I expected the parts to be in good condition upon arrival. The bottom two drawers are actually one large drawer on wheels not supported by a track. So you cannot pull out one drawer at a time. The stair case is very narrow, great for SMALL children. Beware, if you plan on making the bottom a full read the directions carefully, there are additional steps required.

    Fairly sturdy bed

Bed ships in 2 boxes around 85lbs each. Hopefully they will arrive together for you. Recommend having a helper for assembly. Instructions are pictorial so be very observant of images you should be ok. Lots of parts to deal with but everything is marked. Seems sturdy with proper assembly.

    very nice , Let's a storage space..

My boys love this bed. Lots of storage space. We made the bottom into the full size. Some of the instructions did make sense. A couple of the pieces weren't even labeled in the book we had a figure it out. This section's had you build both beds into a twin and then, the last part had you take the whole bottom bunk apart, to make it into a full size.. but good thing. I looked ahead of book. and didn't put it all together. All the Screws and everything was mixed into the bags. ( Example 2 or 3 screw sizes were in one bag and you had to figure out which numbers they were). It took us 5hours to put them together. They need better instructions and better labeling other than that very good bed

Sturdy and easy to assemble bunk bed

My fiance and my best friend assemble the bed together and was relatively easy. I love the design and how nice it looks for such a great price. I would totally recomend.

    Good Value for the Money

Relatively easy to assemble. It looks nice in the space (exactly like the picture). Only down fall is sharp edges, but its expected when you buy a wooden bed. We've attached pipe insulation to an edge to make it more little person friendly.

    Don't waste your money

The directions for this bed are ridiculous. There are multiple pieces that have holes in certain locations that do not line up with the picture. A simple up sign on the board would have been super helpful. Instead, I had to take the bed apart multiple times to flip a board. The finish on the bed is so easily scratched. How do you expect this to last when the bed is designed for energetic children? Save your money and buy a different bed.

Great Bed - You WILL Need Help!

This is a great bed! I finish is very nice and overall quality exceeded my expectations! I will warn you that this comes in a lot of pieces and requires at lease two fairly-experienced, detail-oriented people to put it together. Some times you will need third person to hold pieces together while the other two people assemble. Overall a great bed for a really good price. My Grandson loves it!!!

    Storage step shelving is awesome!

We purchased this for our six-year-old. She is in love with the bed! We love the shelving - it has so much more storage than the step-drawers we were looking at and she can fit all her books in one place. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow; the bed took a few hours to set up still just because of how big and how many pieces there were. There is a mid-sizing in parts on the stairs. The upright panels have holes pre-drilled to drop the cross dowel nuts in, but the nuts are taller than the thickness of the panel by an eight of an inch or so. We were able to screw the bolts into it but had to do so extremely carefully as the wood was bulging and ready to split since the nut hole was not lined up properly with bolt hole. We were missing wheels for the trundle drawer but called the number from the packaging and customer service sent new wheels. Well, they said they did. Its been a week and we havent seen them yet, but we kind of like the bunk without the trundle drawer so far. The distance between the bottom bunk and top bunk is generous - not crowded like some others. The bed is somewhat wiggly when our 50-pound daughter is climbing around on the top (150-pound limit on top) but she is happy and we have it tucked into the corner of a room. It just isnt as heavy/solid as some of the other bunk beds we looked at, and we know not to rough-house or jump on the bed. The bottom is a 200-pound limit. Mentioning only because with 150 and 200 pounds comes fast with mattress and blankets. We are looking into little floating wall shelves for her book of the night and tissue box when she is in the top bunk; we may end up using the trundle wood panels to build some to match since we dont have the wheels yet and dont need a third bed in the bottom. This bed looks like it will last us a really long time and so far we are very pleased with it.
