The directions and labeling of products couldnt have been any easier or straightforward! This made assembling the product much easier. The only recommendation I would make is using a star drive bolt (with included bit) rather than an allen drive, as some of the tight corners were a challenge to tighten. This would allow the buyer to use a driver to assemble the product. A hex head would be another alternative with a hex driver included in the hardware packaging.
This bunk bed is a pain in the butt to assemble, even with two people. Going through all the hardware pieces we noticed there were not enough of some of the fasteners and many of them were damaged. Luckily, our local hardware store had what we needed. I did send an e-mail to the seller and received a reply the next day offering to send replacement pieces. Unfortunately, we could not wait as we had already spent 8 hours assembling the bed and our children had nowhere else to sleep.
Its a good, sturdy piece of furniture but be prepared to spend ALL DAMN DAY putting it together along with at least one trip to the hardware store.
This is a GREAT looking bed! My husband put it together, mostly by himself with a little help from me (some of the wood needed support while being drilled into). It took him about 8.5 hours to put together the stairs, top bunk and bottom bunk and then about 2.5 hours to put together the trundle. He is handy but not any type of professional - although I highly HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a power drill if you dont have one! This would have taken twice as long without the power drill.
All solid wood, amazing and SAFE design, quality bolts and hardware, clear instructions. I could not be any happier. This bed looks and feels like it should cost more than twice what I paid. The steps have grooves for safety as well as a rough sandpaper type strip so the kids wont have any problems with the larger-than-typical steps. My 4 and 6 yr olds go up and down, up and down constantly with no problem..
After having a horrible experience with another bunk bed, thanks to s A-Z guarantee I was able to put the money towards this bed and I couldnt be more satisfied. Thank you !
Love that the stairs can be put on either side. Well made. My husband and son-in-law put it together in about 5 hours. The drawers in the stairs are great for toys or clothes. We got the trundle underneath so cousins can spend the night easily. Great product.

Exactly as pictured, came promptly in several (heavy) boxes. Took a few hours to put together but the instructions were easy to read.
