This is for my 9yr old it is sturdy and looks like it will hold up very well. The only thing that was made assembly difficult was that the en pieces were not marked. You had to figure out which piece was which. Otherwise it went together very easily if u follow instructions.
This bed and furniture set is awesome! We pulled the bookcase and dresser out to the other side of the room so our kiddo could play underneath. The dresser has a surprisingly large drawers; I have pjs and after school pants in the bottom drawer, school pants in the middle and socks and undies in the top drawer. The bookcase is a little more llow than the dresser, but still holds a good amount of books and decor. The hardest part of the assembly was installing the slats for the bed, but other than that, two people can assemble this in a day. Note: Make sure you test out where you need to place the supports for the edges of the bed to avoid the railing moving.

I lovee this loft bed! It is perfect for my soon to be 6 year old. I assembled Everything by myself. The bed took about 2 hours. The desk took about a hour and was easy to attach to the bed. Im choosing to leave the desk out the whole time so I converted the underside of her bed into a lounge area. The bed is very sturdy. I climb up there to change the sheets and it doesnt wobble or anything (Im 190lbs).
I put the bookcase that comes with it on the other side of the room (next to this 4 drawer dresser I got off that matched perfectlyyyyy).
The dresser that comes with it, I slid It under the bed. It still leaves plenty of space for lounging.
Overall: a great buy.
