The product came in two separate boxes but it was easy enough for one person to assemble. It took my husband about 2 and a half hours. He did mention that the instructions explained everything well and all parts needed were included. It does appear sturdy and looks beautiful!
This futon is decently made and easy enough to put together. Asthesthically it looks like it does online. The futon is super uncomfortable and awkward to lay on. It is very narrow. Not good for relaxation. I looked at so many couches, and was swayed by the other reviews. If comfort is important important, look elsewhere.
This couch looks expensive and I love it! The color is rich and beautiful, the velvet is soft and it works perfectly in our space! I do plan to cover it with a blanket as the dogs nails seem to be permanently scratching the velvet at time, and I cant imagine the futon is the lost comfortable to sleep on as the cushions and backing are pretty sturdy and hard, but for our needs, we are in love with this couch!

The futon is a very attractive piece of furniture. However, it is uncomfortable to sit on and even more uncomfortable to lay on. I added a 11/2 inch mattress topper to no avail. The futon is extremely firm, and uncomfortable. I gave it to my brother as a housewarming gift. I wish I could return it for a less firm futon.
Wow! Its lovely! The product itself is high quality, seems durable, pretty comfortable for what the average comfort level of this style (but definitely still firm) and the sleeper option is great!! It feels very firm when you lay down but surprisingly comfy! I could totally sleep on this thing with no issues. It was very easy to assemble myself Only issue was one of the holes wasnt perfectly drilled so I needed to fix it with a screw bit to fit in the screw. Overall, it took about an hour but probably could have done it in 20/30 min had all the holes been exactly right. Not hard at all! Came in one BIG box but I had to wait for a second person to bring it up my two flights of stairs cause it was heavy. We were able to roll it up together. It was left on my porch of apt which I disliked since I wrote a note to about not doing that, but oh well. Loving my new gorgine sofa!!
We ordered the Tallulah Split Back Futon (with the rectangular legs) and received the Vintage model with round, lathe turned legs and other differences. I could see this being a problem if you want a certain decor. For us, this one will work. It is very firm; you wont like sleeping on it if you like a very soft mattress. But again, for us, we are very pleased with it at this price. The green velvet is quite nice. Comfortable to sit on.

Luxurious looking couch for a great price!
