Assembly of this is not fun. My son, who's clever at putting just about anything together with little problem, said it was a bit time consuming and had a few inconvenient steps. But once assembled it looks pretty good and feels sturdy.
Two complaints I have are:
(1) The headboard is lower than it looks on the product picture. You can see it when mattress and pillows are in place but there's only about 6 inches showing above the pillows. I don't know how they managed to make the headboard look so much higher on the photograph.
(2) The side rails/boards in the product picture are one solid piece on each side of the bed, connecting headboard to baseboard. The set that I received required putting two pieces together on each side. There is an obvious break line showing. This doesn't seem to cause any issues regarding sturdiness, however, just an aesthetic issue.
This is in a guest bedroom and looks pretty good there. Not especially expensive looking, but it's okay.
This bed is very nice looking. I like the green upholstery. It isn't a screaming green, it is a nice green. However, the headboard needs to be taller for it to really make an impact. Now, we have put together this type of bed many times. They are quite easy. One person can do the work easily, except for moving and lifting heavy parts. This is a platform bed. If you try to use a boxspring, you will probably not be able to see the headboard at all. And if sits lower than regular beds. If you use the risers that are available to make a bed taller, make sure you get one for every single leg and a couple in the center. Even with those precautions, your frame may still break. Better to get accustomed to sleeping lower to the ground. I like how the slats are better aligned with a slot to put them in - some of the past beds you had to nail them in place. It is a nice looking bed overall and I would not mind sleeping in it. I like it.
Well packaged, parts were labeled clearly and organized well. Instructions flowed and were easy to follow. Assembly took just under an hour and involved little to no fussing or grumbling. Everything fit and went smoothly and nothing was missing. Well designed and easily assembled. This is far more attractive in person than anticipated. And while it might not be incredibly stable for more enthusiastic bed use, it is sturdy and solid and perfect for our guest room.
The headboard definitely doesnt look as tall as the picture on the site, but Im impressed with the quality, especially for the price. The slats in particular are well built and easy to install. We purchased in the green color which is understated but a bit elegant. Will be checking out more of their products in the future.
This Brittany Upholstered Platform Bed Frame is of good quality but does not look like the photo in the product description. To see the description, you would think there was a nice headboard up the back of the frame. The reality is that once the mattress is added, it looks like the mattress ate the headboard. The headboard is too short. The bed looks out of proportion with the headboard. That being said, this frame does not lack in quality. It is reasonably easy to assemble. We used a power screwdriver to expedite the process although hand implements are provided to do the assembly job. Other than the height of the headboard, I have no other issues with this platform bed frame.
This bed looks great in my grey room, I love the color, though it won't match with a lot. The upholstery looks great, it's a little scratchy, so I set up a pillow against it when I need to read. It isn't as tall as it appears in the photos. The bed took about 60 minutes to set up, it wasn't terribly hard and didn't require tools beyond a screwdriver. It's a very sturdy and quiet bed, a definite improvement upon my old slat bed.
It took us a while to get around to put this bed together for the guest room. An incoming guest provided the needed motivation.
I think the description of the bed is a bit over the top. It doesnt exactly exude luxury and glamour and I think royalty and Hollywood might crinkle their noses at it. But its nice and solid middle class and its perfect for a guest room or such.
Ours came in green, which is a light green that fits in many decors, though it may clash with others. The fabric seems not too strong and I would have my doubts if it were used daily over a long time.
The slats are strong. They are just like bed slats I've seen in Europe. I dont know how they would perform with a really overweight person. I appreciate the fact that you dont need a box spring. I myself like to sleep in lower beds, being used to a mattress on the floor in my student days. I can no longer do a mattress on the floor, as it would take someone to help me get up. Likewise, a too-high bed would have me slipping out while I'm asleep. For the record, I prefer inner-spring mattresses - I tried foam mattresses and I sink down too far and feel trapped. I must feel free to move around in my sleep, and foam traps me down.
As others have observed, the headboard is a good deal lower than expected from the picture. However, easily taken care of by using fluffy pillows stuffed in ruffly shams.
The assembly was rather easy and fast. There is a video with the product description above. It gives you a rough idea how it will go.
I'm not sure the reason for the side rails. It may possibly be for use of handicapped individuals, or use as an infant's bed.
Wish we had purchased this bed a LONG time ago. Perfect for a guest room or even a master bedroom. Allow about 90 minutes for set up. Not too difficult and can be done without help.

Not bad looking when assembled and it seems sturdy.

Solid bed at a great price

I like the material and the built-in headframe
I replaced a different bed frame with no headboard. I like this one better.
