Assembly instructions are not crystal clear. You need 2 people to assemble it and took more than an hour. Comes in one box. Looks very good. Not as sturdy as I expected it to be. I have a 8 inch mattress on the bed in the attached picture.
Wood seems to be a mix between cheap (knotty) pine and decent quality plywood. Finish is a very thin layer of some kind of clear coat (lacquer?). Some of the through-holes werent quite big enough, but my impact driver was able to power through them. If I only used the included allen wrench, I wouldve had problems.
I dont like that the 2 middle legs on each side stick out ~3/4, and have already stubbed my toe on one.
I will have to add more slats because there is about 5 spacing between the ones included, which is probably too much for all types of mattresses, much less my soft hybrid mattress.
Fun to put together, but will still need mattress and box spring for it, be sure box spring is not high, mattress can be thin as well, this is due to how high it sits off the floor.
To be honest I am quite dissapointed by this product. It came with several defects, it smells horribly with new paint smell, no way I am letting my kid to sleep there. Will wait and see, if smell doesnt go away Ill have to return it.
It smells really bad an super strong one you take it out of the box. Still smells pretty bad 2 weeks later actually smells like mildew. So Im not sure if thats what it is and they painted over it ????
I am very pleased at the sturdiness and the quality of this bed frame. It is very nice, especially for a first big boy bed for a 7 year old! The quality of the product is not cheap and Im very excited for my son! The bed sits a little lower to the bed then I would like or for an adult but if you have a bigger mattress such as thicker (10 plus inches) it will be okay!
One or two of the holes that are drilled for were too deep so we will have to purchase a shorter bolt or even some waschers!
It came in two seperate long boxs.
All in All I would purchase again!
Saw some negative reviews, but were very happy with the bed, it took a while to assemble and had some minor design things that could have been fine tuned, but the bed is very durable and our kids love it.
Ill keep this review short and sweet. Came across this value on for a trundle. Reviews read well. Decided to buy it. Assembly was pretty easy. Pictures directions are awesome. The ONLY issue and recommendation I suggest is drilling pilot holes for screws you need to screw into the press wood. It doesnt say to, but if your not careful, you may split/crack the pieces(which I did). Just a small pilot hole will do. It will lower the risk of split/cracked pieces. Ill also include mattress info since I didnt come across much info on other reviews. I went with a 8 Zenus memory foam mattress on top and a 6 Zenus memory foam mattress for the bottom. They fit perfect!! Could fit an 8 on the bottom, but youll have no room to push the bed back under with the linens and comforter on. I recommend this product! Two up!!

Fun to put together, but will still need mattress and box spring for it, be sure box spring is not high, mattress can be thin as well, this is due to how high it sits off the floor.
