Just received the dark grey chair. It was packaged very well to protect the fabric and legs. Just took a few minutes to put the legs on. The legs are solid wood and stained. The color is what I expected dark charcoal. Fabric is like a linen or polyester. This chair is for our master bedroom which will not get everyday use as far as sitting. Not a comfortable chair for everyday use but that isnt what I was looking for. This is exactly what I wanted not too large, good color, good price.
We wanted a chair that would be easy to get in and out of for older friends. This is nice and high (18) and sits firmly yet comfortably. Also great arm rests. Its nothing fancy, but does exactly what we hoped for / an occasional chair that guests go for!
We purchased this glider to use for our newborn. The assembly was easy, but the screws supplied for the snaps break too easily. I used a regular screwdriver and the heads of the screws came off before the snaps felt like they were fastened to the chair.
Once assembled, the chair was comfortable and glided smoothly. Weve now had it for two months and use it a lot. It doesnt glide as smooth as it did in the beginning, but still acceptable. Also, I have tried multiple methods in tying the back pad to the frame and havent been successful in finding a way to keep it in place without the pad slouching a few inches.
Im 59 and wish the back of the chair was a few inches taller so I could rest my head during the countless hours of rocking a baby.
Overall, Id recommend this chair for someone who is a little shorter than me and is only expecting to use it for a year or two. In my opinion, its a short term bargain chair.
