This bed is SOOO sturdy. EXACTLY what my husband and I wanted for our 3 year old daughter. She was ready to get rid of her toddler bed and needed more room to sleep so she could sleep with all her stuffies and needed more room for playing. This bed is perfect. Came in a box all together. Everything in it to build the bed. Took about 3 hours. But 10000 worth the time. The instructions my husband said were a little vague. But he seemed to do just fine putting it together. This bed is worth every penny. Our daughter LOVVVVED IT!! She is soooo sooo happy with her big girl bed!! She couldnt wait to go to bed and I can not wait to play in her room with her.
Great loft bed for the value. Set up went pretty smoothly. Just read through the directions first, and lay out all your pieces so you know whats what. You definitely need two people. My husband and I put it together in about 2 hours. Per other reviewers suggestions we cut 5 inches off the legs and latter. Our sons room has a regular 8 foot ceiling so Im really glad we decided to trim the legs. It has to be done before you put together the bed. The legs are pieces A, B, C D. I think anywhere from 4/6 inches is good to trim off. With it shorter its much easier for me to change his sheets without constantly hitting my head. He still has plenty of space to play underneath. We plan to use L brackets to secure it to the wall just for added stability. Not like its going to fall down or anything but if I have to climb up to comfort him (hes 4) it would be nice to have it not move as much.
We ordered the Camaflexy Concord Full Junior loft bed and it arrived right on time. The box is VERY HEAVY as it truly is made of solid wood. All parts were included and accounted for. It took my wife and I over 2 hours to assemble. We purchased a Sealy 8 medium memory foam mattress to go on the bed. We waited for the bed to finish off/gassing before unfurling the mattress. Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loves it! Since its a junior loft, the space underneath is low but perfect for sliding a dresser underneath or a beanbag chair to create a reading nook. The weight capacity for the full size model is 500 lbs.
CONS: The screws included with the bed are a soft metal and its easy to strip the screws when using power tools. Also, the painted finish has a strong odor (white finish) so we had to let the bed off/gas for 2 days.
This bed is great! My boyfriend was able to assemble it himself even with a 2.5 year old trying to help. All 3 of us have laid in it / its very sturdy. I do agree that a twin size comforter is best as the sides have 0 room to tuck the blanket in. Pictured on the bed is a full sized one. My daughter loves it! It took her a little practice to get the hang of getting up and down, but she figured out if she puts her folding stool at the bottom it makes the last step easier, haha. This was a great purchase at a fair price.
Better thank I expected. My daughter is in love of her new bed!
Assembly wasnt as easy but my husband used a power tool.
No defective wood or parts. Its absolutely perfect.
Just finished building this (full size).pro tip: one of the lower sideboards is special and has holes for the ladder in it. Put that on the ladder side or youll be drilling new holes. I also almost ran in to the problem with the first slat splitting the board that the slats rest on.I didnt have a drill extension to do a pilot hole, but I used a C/clamp to hold it while I screwed it in (by hand) and while I saw minor splitting on one, the other 3 were successful. In mine, the bed supports that people have complained about were not laminated pieces but are single long pieces of wood. They were a bit warped and dont feel substantial enough for the long run, so I will be replacing them with either a more solid type of wood or possibly something metal. The ladder entry is also a bit tight for anyone except for really little kids. Ill probably have to expand it in the future.
My son loves it, though, and when you cant do a higher loft bed this isnt a bad choice. The space underneath is indeed pretty tight, but were putting cubbies underneath it with a twin mattress for guests and a reading area. It would also be great for increasing storage space in a room.
Toddler son loves the bed especially the slide, I would recommend manufacturer changing the color because its not grey its more on the walnut/beige side.
