Just had to retighten some screws after the about a month, but almost a year into it, I have not had to tighten the screws again and Im very happy with the purchase
For an adult and the bed works good. All hardware was included with spares so that was nice. The pieces were labeled to match instructions and after organizing them everything came together within 40 minutes.
Only problem with assembly is holes not lining up if you screw in everything super tight. Gotta lightly screw in each side until all the pieces are together so you can line up the holes, then tighten them after.
The bed is quiet but VERY wobbly when going up/down the ladder. Even with the wall secures screwed in. Im gonna get a few more anchors for the bottom legs to stop the shakiness.
Other than that I love the look of this and its function. It feels safe.
After 3 hours of assembly the bed is finally put together, I unfortunately didnt realize how low my daughters ceiling is which is the only problem. Other than that its very sturdy and worth every penny!
Well this isnt a good start. The first piece to be assembled and the holes are not lined up. My husband is going to get a drill bit and make a new hole so I can continue to assemble. Hopefully this is the only issue, but its a pretty significant one, especially of youre like me and dont have the equipment or experience to drill new holes into . Also I assume the paint will get a little messed up drilling a new hole.
Anyway, I will update with my final opinion!
The bed is very nice, looks great. The downfall is the sturdiness. My 9 year old (70 lbs) just climbing up the ladder, causes the bed to shake a lot. Also, when assembling, the ladder does not have an ankor for the top so you must use zip ties to secure.
I am a 115 pound 41 year old woman. I bought this twin for myself because our house has a very odd layout and the only expandable space is upwards.
The package arrived, and I was able to assemble the bed, by myself, in about 2 hours. You really need to have a second person towards the end when its time to connect the two sides, but it CAN be done by one person if you have good spatial reasoning.
I left the upper front rail off, as the ladder doesnt give me enough clearance to clamber over the rails. The bed should definitely be anchored to the wall; if you have drywall or protruding baseboards, youll need to procure your own wall anchors, which is totally acceptable.
The bed is pretty sturdy even without the anchors (which I am getting today). I have it positioned over a full sized bed, both facing the same way. I just slid the over the top of the bed; the back rail mid/way up is the same height as the full bed I have underneath.
The only concern I have is the mattress rails and the little plastic toggles that go along the center of them. They seem to be a little flimsy. As stated above, Im 115 pounds, and I got up there after I positioned the in order to put the back rail on. The bed held my weight, but the little plastic toggles would slip off. Theyre shaped to fit into one another; one end has one hook, the other end has 2 with a space between them. The weak spots seem to be the end with only one hook. Im going to look into getting something to reinforce the slats better.
Overall, this is a good and I had absolute no problems understanding the instructions. Just pay attention to the pictures, and look ahead if you dont understand something, but I highly recommend this .

Easy set up
Not much instruction but easily able to figure it out
Not for low ceilings.

Not sturdy enough for comfort

One of the easiest assemblies Ive done
