I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this bed for my son after reading the other reviews. I am a single mom who is not very good at putting things together, but at this price, I couldnt resist attempting it, and Im glad I did! I found the directions to be VERY easy to follow, I took my time and read each step and made sure I was doing everything exactly as directed. It took me about 4 hours, which Im sure many people would consider to be too much time to spend on this kind of task, but keep in mind that I did it completely on my own, and I had already planned on spending a full day working on it and was very pleased that it didnt take quite that long! The bed is very sturdy - my 8 year old son and I can lay on it together without worrying that its going to collapse - and I love how it looks in his room. The only complaint I have with it is that there were a couple times that the holes didnt line up just right (on the drawers only), and I read about other people having this issue too, however I was able to make it work without having to use power tools, so Im sure anyone else could too. If youre thinking about purchasing this bed, I encourage you to do it. I love it, my son loves it, and as long as you keep in mind that you get what you pay for, Im sure you will too!

I would normally go to to get something like this. But they did not have a twin bed that I liked and I decided to give a try for a big item like that. The shipping was free and I got the package about a week later. The PACKAGING was simply SUPERIOR! All the sides and corners of the box were wrapped in shock-absorbing kind of cardboard at least 2 inches thick!!! Everything inside the package was completely fine - and thats after it had traveled by UPS Ground all the way across the country. The ease of assembly was comparable to s items - but better! I.e. actually labeled the back sides of all parts with letters corresponding to the letters on the pictures in the assembly instructions - thats a step forward from s instructions. And the drawer rails can be hammered in - which better engineering design than s where you have to screw in a million screws to attach them. All you need to put it together is a Philips screwdriver and a hammer. They even give a piece of plastic to use for hammering in the drawer rails (not to hit the rails directly with a hammer). All pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly, by the way.
Now, about their customer service. I accidentally scratched one of the front drawer panels and I called for a replacement part. Also I really liked the drawer handles and I wanted to get more of them to put on my book-cases and my desk (that are of a similar color and style) in roder to make it look like they were a set with the bed. They picked up the phone right away and were really helpful. The call center are in Quebec. Ive been to Montreal and its my experience that the service there is very polite/personal/friendly and generally exceeds my Southern California-based expectations. This was right in line with my previous Quebec experiences. I had 10 handles, 20 screws for them, and a replacement panel shipped to me for the total of $17 (including SandH)! And got an order confirmation email from them detailing all items discussed within 5 minutes after I getting off the phone. Now, is that an amazing value?!
The bed looks great - just like in the picture. If I had to guess how much a bed looking like that would be priced for at a local furniture store - Id say maybe $400-$600(?). Ive been using it for a couple of nights now - no squeaks or anything - its just perfect! Very reasonably priced and everything about it has been simply outstanding! Solid 5 stars! Id even give them 6 stars if that were an option
Im impressed with this bed. They were easy to put together, they look great and seem pretty sturdy. I was worried that the drawers would seem flimsy, but they are not. They are reinforced nicely and I trust that they could hold the weight of pretty much anything you would want to store in them. The slides for the drawers are plastic sliding across plastic, so the motion isnt as smooth as what you would have with metal guides and rollers. For this reason, I have decided to use them for things that I wont be trying to get at multiple times a day, however I am not worried about them breaking with use. The drawer pulls look cool, but theyre metal and stick out at an angle with sharp edges, so I think Im probably going to replace them with something more shin-friendly. I ordered 2 of these beds and another bed in a different finish that is basically the same design (Summer Breeze in Blueberry) and I have to say that the packaging for this bed is far superior to the other one. I had to return the other style of bed twice because it was broken both times I ordered it, so now I think Ill just order another one of these to avoid the hassle of another broken bed. Of course, was great about the returns and refunds. All in all, for this price, its pretty much impossible to do better, especially when you take into account the free shipping and s awesome customer service.

The only thing I would change are the drawer handles. They stick out pretty far and have sharp angles. All in all, a good deal.

I would say there was about 40 pieces or so. Once it was put together I was very pleased. The drawers slide easily and can hold quite a bit. I was also able to still fit my sons bed rails on. The only thing that I will be replacing at some point is the drawer knobs. They are very sharp on the edges and I have scratched myself a couple of times already. Overall it was a very well made nice looking bed.
We bought this bed for our 3 year old daughter, it is great because it sits lower to the ground for her to get on and off easily. The shipping was fast and there was no damage at all. I agree with other posters about the sharp drawer pulls, but I replaced them with pink rounded ones, I had to put 2 on each drawer because the holes are too close together for a standard pull, but it ended up giving it a cute look! overall I am happy with my purchase, the price was great and with free shipping you cant go wrong.
You might be better off if you can go purchase this great little bed in person. Fed Ex decided to leave my package in the snow and mud on my neighbors property, out in the open. Shame on them and I will not shop with an online merchant that uses Fed Ex again.

We bought this for our 19 month old son who outgrew his mini crib. It took some time to put together but it was very straight forward and everything was labeled so it made it very easy. The who thing is pretty much pressboard so you wont want to get it wet for any prolonged period of time but given the price it is really well worth the purchase. It feels very sturdy and even came with felt feet to keep it from scratching our hardwood floor. That is rare to find these days and I usually buy felt for funriture to protect our floors, so a nice and appreciated touch that they included it.

Nice bed if you dont mind the work

I would say there was about 40 pieces or so. Once it was put together I was very pleased. The drawers slide easily and can hold quite a bit. I was also able to still fit my sons bed rails on. The only thing that I will be replacing at some point is the drawer knobs. They are very sharp on the edges and I have scratched myself a couple of times already. Overall it was a very well made nice looking bed.
