So easy to put together especially with the handy little tool that comes with it!! Great bed, perfect size, looks good and inexpensive. Now I just wish they sold matching nightstands.
we needed to furnish our long/term rental when we started renting the place weekly and weekend. one of the bedrooms is too small for a larger bed. this gets more people sleeping off the floor. perfect for our needs.
This bed is pretty simple in design. The assembly was fairly strait/forward, and it seems sturdy enough. It looks nice, and hasnt started falling apart after a three months of use by a hyper nine/year/old boy.
The metal slats come with sticky tape on them to adhere to the mattress. We opted not to use this, as we wanted to flip or maybe change the mattress. So far, we havent had a problem getting the top mattress to stay put. The bottom mattress is a different story.
My main complaint with the bed is the trundle. There is very little clearance between the top of the trundle and the bottom of the main bedframe. With a normal sized mattress, there is no space to even make the trundle, as a comforter would not fit at all. In fact, we have to shove the bed in a bit to make it fit which sometimes knocks the mattress off the frame. This isnt a huge problem, and we expected it, but an extra inch of clearance would have been nice.
Overall, this was a good purchase. It looks nice in the room, seems like it will last a while, and adds sleeping space without ta up floor space. I am happy with my purchase.
Ok. We bought this and originally used it as intended, only to realize that we would likely never use the trundle (it was cheaper at the time to buy it with a trundle). I ended up building a lego tray and upholstering a cushioned edging. The reason that I can say with absolute certainty that it is sturdy is because I beat the hell out of it during the ma and attaching of hardware/boards etc. Also, my husband regularly cuddles with my almost 5/year/old on the bed and there is no crea or indication of not being able to hold the weight. Thick mattress recommended
Super easy to put together! Great material, doesnt look cheap. I recommend a thick mattress, you can feel the rods on a thin one.
