Does as is advertised. Especially like that you can actually fit shoes below it as well as on the two racks. Many other brands here on have a bar that wont allow shoes to be placed on floor.
Not sure what the weight max is on this but do know that before we bought this my wife and I sat on it at a friends house and it held us both. Combined wt. is 310.

Im glad i took the advice of the buzzfeed list and bought it! If youre worried its cheaply made or rickety, its not. Go ahead and buy it i dont think youll be disappointed. Youll be thankful you can get rid of the pile of shoes by the door! I know i was!
The only thing Id change is the color of the cushion. But that can easily be unscrewed and recovered.
