Padding when in the lounger configuration isnt amazing, and dont expect any real back support, it isnt tall enough, but it will keep its shape no matter how hard you lean. I dont think Id really want to use it as a bed.
For what it is and its price its a pretty neat little thing for my little room.

I will host family dinners several times a year to invite my relatives to participate, and they will stay in my house overnight. I once bought an inflatable bed for guests to use in the guest room, but it looks very cheap. I bought this multifunctional sofa bed and it feels good after 3 weeks of use.
When the bed is not needed, it is a sofa, and we will sit on it and read our favorite books. I will turn it into a comfortable bed when its time for bed. It is suitable for an adult to sleep on, it is not as comfortable as a big bed but it feels good. The matching pillow is just soft enough I like it.
The pattern on the manual is a little different from the actual object. I spent some time installing it. I hope the seller can update the manual to make it easier for buyers to understand. I still want to give it 5 stars. It is very comfortable to sit on the sofa and read a book. It makes me very relaxed.
It is suitable for an adult which is what I wanted. It came assembled and I just had to remove the Styrofoam and figure out how to go through opening and closing it. I chose the velvet one as I wanted a smoother surface. The material is not very lush as you might assume velvet to be. It is suitable and comfortable against the skin so I will not complain that material was less plush than I expected.
The mattress was quite firm. If you \like a firm bed, it would be fine. I will offer my guests the option of a twin foam topper. They can decide if they want it softer or not. I found it comfortable enough. I liked how wide it is. A larger person could lay down and not feel like they were going to fall off.
I did not feel any bars or gaps when I laid down to test it. It is light enough for me to push it across the floor fairly easilyit has metal supports so watch the hardwoods.
Overall, it was exactly what I wanted.
I slept on this for a month. It was the only bed in the entire apartment. It is not designed for that kind of sleeping. However; This is a fantastic couch seat. And this will be a great sleepover substitute for a cot.
