It was easy to assemble. I put it together by myself in under maybe 2 hours. That may seem like a lot of time, but with the amount of parts that came, its reasonable. It holds well and doesnt make any noise, very sturdy. The instructions were easy to read. Id say the hardest part is trying to hold the pieces level enough for me to insert the screws.
After only 2 months I had to buy a new platform for this bed. The slats wouldnt stay in their slots. The locks that keep them in place are plastic and flimsy. Since the slats never stayed in place the middle bar ended up snapping bc it was carrying all the weight. The design is cute but it definitely not the sturdiest bed.

Not sturdy at all, the support bars become undone every week and I have to fix them.

Good looking headboard.
I sent this platform bed to my 24 year who has never put anything together, but she managed this fairly easily with her roommate. Very happy camper!
