This was an excellent buy. We got 2 sets and assembling was quick and straightforward. Love the highest level for our tall counters. Comfort level is excellent and it works from my 45 lb little one to my 180 lb hubby. Perfect for this year of distance learning and sooo many zoom meetings.
Assembly took 5 minutes each. Arrived in good shape. Pretty sturdy, but dont know if Id recommend for very small kids. The light Brown shade is actually TAUPE, which matches perfectly with the very popular couch/love seat sets in an open concept setting. Swivels smoothly. Lift works well. Four fit well for average kitchen island. Just ordered 2 more!
I have had these barstools for 10 months now, so I wanted to review the positives and negatives:
Positives:
Stools look great in person
Good value for the price
Super easy to assemble
Very comfy seat
Adjusts to different heights
Fabric holds up really well
Negatives:
Over time, the black paint on the base flakes off and deposits what looks like fine black dust around the base, also leaving a lighter colored area where the paint flaked off. When you sit on the stool, the pieces of the base scrape against each other (see pic), and causes the paint flakes. The foot rest bar also leaves black deposits on my cleaning cloths, though it doesnt show any paint wear on the bar itself.
One of the foot rests on one chair broke after only 2 uses - it didnt come off, it is just crooked bc one side detatched (see pic)
Overall, I would still buy these again. I use them often, so my complaints, given the price point, are not deal breakers for me. The winning features are the comfort, the fabric holding up, and the overall still nice look, after 10 mos of daily use (see pic).

Ive bought these chairs back in Aug23.20. One chair doesnt stay up anymore and when sat in it instantly drops pressure. I weigh 200lb only had own them for 2 months and one chair has given out already. Sad

Ours look great at our kitchen bar...get used only by me and my husband...very rarely used by others. Started wobbling and very unsteady now. Lasted about 1 year. We have 6 of them and keep having to switch out 2 news ones that are in boxes as back-up.
I have had these for almost 2 years. We use them daily at our kitchen island. Extremely comfy, easy to adjust and very sturdy. We don't spill much on them but when necessary the material is easy to wipe down.
The only part I don't love is that the edging on the backs of the chairs is a black plastic sort of thing. It is the only part with even the slightest bit of wear because it rubs under the counter occasionally.

10 mos after purchase - mostly good!
