I absolutely love this bed. Between me and my boyfriend, it took us 2 hours to put together. We did have to take apart and put together one piece. So I strongly suggest you read the letters correctly on instructions. I dont recommend trying to put this together alone. Its sturdy and was exactly what I was looking for.
Took a little time to put together, but it was worth it. Very sturdy and safe. Height is not as tall as we expected, but still has plenty of room underneath.
Relatively easy to assemble. Didnt take longer than 3-4 hours... With a toddler forcing breaks upon us!
Pay attention to:
1. Top headboard pieces for the full bed so that the peg holes are aligned on the same side so the twin can be placed in on top. We forgot to and had to untighten one side to flip. Not serious but a nuisance.
2. Side frames of the beds where the bed rests on. Make sure the twin has the same slotted ones bc there are pre-drilled holes for a cross panel with small wood pegs to be inserted in the center.
Recommend using a power drill then hand tighten screws for the last bit to secure the base planks for mattresses to sit on. Speeds things up significantly.
Overall for the price, the lower quality wood material is to be expected. Noticed some cracks in some pieces of wood as mentioned by others. When I was peeling off a sticker label, I indented the wood with my own finger.. Overall, it feels sturdy for a toddler. Both parents on separate occasions (200lbs 150lbs) have climbed up to read stories. Probably wont do this all the time tho. We dont anticipate him jumping on top bunk bc his head is close to ceiling when standing and dont recommend it based on the slats. Hes 40lbs. Overall height is good, not too tall and daunting for a 4yr old to climb and mom(53) can reach top bunk from floor. We purchased a 5 inch twin mattress; it allows for good vertical space for him not to roll off the sides. Our son moves all over when sleeping!
We got the white which looks clean and less cluttered in the room.
He loves it and it allows for more space in the room especially if family can come visit.
This bed is sturdy and looks great! It did take two of us about 4 hours to completely assemble it. The instructions are easy enough to follow but there are a lot of steps. Two people are needed to put it together. I recommend that you assemble in the room where you want the bed, that you have enough space cleared out to assemble both beds separately, have a few hours of time blocked out of your day, have a helper (capable of helping lift the top bed onto the bottom bed) and that you put the mattress on the bottom bunk before attaching the ladder.
Overall this bed is a well engineered bed, seems to be perfectly fine for a small child however I would not recommend getting anywhere close to weight. Legs are smaller than 2x4 and held together with m6 bolts (2 per leg). You will get a bag of bolts, screws and dowels. Screws, bolts, washers are all different sizes and nothing is labelled whatsoever. The majority of the time putting together will be sorting the hardware box. They bothered to assign part numbers to the various screws and bolts but they mean nothing, as once again, nothing is labelled. One of the bottom bracing boards was cracked down the middle that was part of the staircase so I had to make my own due to once wooden dowel was slid in, it split right in half. Other than these factors overall it was a decent frame. At this price point one could expect some hardware to be labelled instead of thrown loosely in a bag.
Direction made no sense but it took me 3 hours by myself to put up. Very sturdy and my boys love it! I have a 12 bed on the bottom and an 8 bed on the top. I was nervous my son would roll off but a 12 would have been fine also.
Ive was looking at loft beds for weeks to gift to my daughter for her third birthday. When I found this I was very happy. It was a reasonable price point and had great reviews. It came on time and we put it together last night. I love the look and how much room my daughter has in her room now. She loves it too! She hugged and thanked my husband a million times for putting it together. My only complaint is is that though it seems very sturdy is that it already has a crack in the wood and only my small three year old has been on it. I didnt notice it last night but if you have a larger child it probably would not be a good fit for you.
Very nice bunk bed. Directions were easy to follow and my boys love it! My only con would be the top bunk wood that keeps your child from falling is very delciate. My son hit it with his knee so to speak and one of the boards split a bit. Other than that wonderful purchase so far!

Worth every penny.

Reasonable price for benefit of bunks

Overall good frame but has its flaws
