Im on the fence, because I purchased 2 chairs and one came without the hardware but my BIL matched the screws from the 2nd and was able to assemble both chairs. They are sturdy and comfortable, however both wood frames have dings and the only option I was given was to have them disassembled and pack them back up and return them. I am willing to keep them because they are the only furniture in my living room, but the dings for take away from the niceness of the furniture. My BIL was able to put them together rather quickly but hes not here to take them apart.
I want to preface this review by listing my credentials. Ive assembled many (And non-IKEA) furniture pieces in my life, assembled and installed an kitchen and 2 PAX closet systems BUT assembling this chair was some how harder than all of that combined. The assembling of this chair nearly caused my husband (of 12 years) and I to divorce. Here is the good, the bad and ugly on this chair. The looks are great but thats obvious from the pictures. In person feels sturdy, yet comfortable. Good: Definitely the bang for your buck (design wise). Bad: Arrived with some scuffing on the legs (despite being wrapped well). The Ugly: the holes didnt line up with the screws in several spots. Took about 3 people and MANY attempts to assemble.
We purchased two of these chairs and the first went together easily as all the parts were there. When the parts to assemble the other arrived it too went together well. But there is a huge crack where one leg joins the arm and I am not bothering to make a fuss as it took 10 days just to get the parts to assemble the second chair. I have been using the first chair for the last 10 days and it is sturdy and if not comfortable it is OK. It is not a chair to sink into with a book. It works as a cheap occasional chair.
Great reviews on this so I bought it. Its a bit heavy and awkward to move. Its low to the ground but I was OK with that. The back of the chair reclines too much to sit upright to make it comfortable for reading, however a pillow will fix that.
Pros: It looks good. Its solid once you get it together (if you can).
A couple of cons: the seat came scratched and while the fake leather looks pretty good, it scratches easily.
It was a bear to put together. Not fun at all, well beyond mildly frustrating. Had to take a break and go at it again. I unscrewed one section, did it in a different order several times to get the holes to line up right. Kept everything loose until the end. Im not a dummy and Im pretty adept with tools, but this was a frustrating process.
Would I buy it again? Probably not.
Overall, the chair would be a really nice buy. But ours came with a split all the way thru one of the arm supports. Since a return on an item like this is not too convenient we decided to keep and try to repair it. Took the L. Its comfortable and looks great besides the giant split in it. Hopefully the inspection on other items from the seller are more closely inspected before they put it in a box to ship.
Warning: do not tighten down all the screws before you finish. There are 12 screws and you cant fasten down the arms if you tighten the screws on the back all the way.
Its very low to the ground. You can figure out as much from the photos, but seeing it in person was still surprising.
The seat cushion on mine was scratched in about a 1 square area on the seat itself which is why I gave it 4 stars. With Covid-19, its too much of a hassle to pursue with .
Unlike what some of the review photos show, I believe the chairs are true to color in the photos online.
I am so impressed with the quality of this chair. Feels much more expensive, comfortable and easy to put together. I will say they are pretty low but that doesnt bother me and if you get the leather ones, the arm rest is plastic made to look like wood. You really dont notice unless you are looking close. I ordered two and they shipped separately so I am still waiting on my second chair to arrive. Overall it gives the look of a nice leather chair without the price tag. I highly recommend this chair!
Be aware that this chair is comfortable but firm. Good for posture and working on a laptop but maybe not so great for sitting back and watching a movie.
The armrests are low and you may need to lean a little to rest on them. But its good if you have a side table as they dont get in the way.
Otherwise sturdy, easy to assemble and good looking. Real wood.
These are great quality chairs for the price! The wood is beautiful. I wasnt expecting them to be very comfortable because theyre side chairs... and I was right, the cushions are very firm. FYI, The instructions are awful. I stared at the pictures forever trying to make sense of it, but once I figured it out, it was only a few steps and I put the second chair together in 15 minutes. I highly Recommend these.

Nice chairs, sturdy and comfy but received in bad condition

Good basic chair. Adequate quality control, Easy assembly when the parts are there

UNFORTUNATE!

Could use slightly better instructions. Mine came scratched.
