This bunk bed was very easy to assemble with clear directions and all parts were packaged nicely. It took me about 2 hours with my 4 and 5 yr olds helping. To speed up the process I used a drill with the hex bit. Some of the screws have to go in pretty far and with the supplied allen key, it was a pain. It seems very sturdy once assembled, the top bunk fits on the bottom with very large wooden dowels so you can unstack later on if needed.
The box was pretty big, obviously, and weighed in around 120 lbs as I recall. Having someone to help you move it around is nice. When you unbox, there are a lot of pieces, so its nice to have an open area to lay things out for inventory. All the hardware comes packaged together and labeled nicely which I was very grateful for. The ladder is sturdy, and it can be screwed in place, however, that makes it very difficult to make the bottom bed, so we left it unscrewed. Other than that, I think this is a pretty sweet deal.
Overall its a quality bunk bed at an even better price. We havent had it up for too long, so well adjust this review as necessary.
Great quality and sturdy!! Some issues with bolts with faulty threading, but nothing you cant get from a local hardware store and it was only one or two out of the entire bunch. Easy to follow instructions, clearly labeled pieces, i made this by myself!! (single mom with tools!)
My daughter loves her bed. Took my husband about a half a day to put it together and its pretty sturdy I do worry about my daughter jumping around on it and being roughy and how it will hold up but so far so good and you cant beat the price

We did receive one leg post with a crack and getting it replaced was simple. All you have to do is fill out a form on their website and they ship you a replacement piece. Could not have been easier. My kids love their new beds!!
The bed looks great, the wood is a very knotted pine, being said once in a heated home it will crack and of course I have those cracks on the most weight bearing part the middle. Cracks occurred within 2 weeks and we reordered the two sides which have never arrived and its been almost 2 months when they said a month/and/a/half ago it would be here. Customer service has not got back with us I will not be purchasing a bed from Dorel again. Save the money I bought a bunk bed seven years ago from and its twice as sturdy taking apart five or six different times and moved and not once have I seen a crack.
Holding up well after a year of moderate use. Was missing some screws so I had to improvise. Only major issue that REALLY annoys me is trying to put the sheet on the bottom bunk. The ladder is so tight against the mattress on the bottom bunk that I have to yank the sheet into place.

Get professional installation
Awesome bunk beds! I highly recommend opting for the professional installation. Even the pro took 3 hours to put it together. Its a real job.
Cracked pieces
Bed came cracked in two spots. Other then that good set for the price
