This bed is pretty nice. The package was super heavy and took 2 people to bring it inside. The construction took about 1 and half hours and it wasnt too difficult to follow the instructions. The bed is made out of MDF and the outer pieces that show have a thin laminate which is easily damaged. I did have some laminate come off but the dings were easily corrected with a furniture touch up pen. Keep in mind that you need to be super careful during assembly.
The bed is comfortable. I have 8 and 3 memory foam mattresses on the platform and Ive been sleeping fine. The color is a nice walnut thats not super dark. The drawers are handy and I store my extra linens in one of them. The drawers are not long, about 13, so you cant fit a whole lot in one. Theyre a bit over 5 deep and 35 wide. With the 2 drawers the storage is ample though.
This bed is good for small bedrooms or for kids. The extra storage is a plus too. The bed is a decent value.

It wasnt exhausting but I would recommend having help and not putting this together alone. The finish is flawless and it is overall an excellent frame!
We are using this bed frame with a twin mattress for our toddlers bed. We really like this bed frame a lot. It looks very nice in our toddlers bedroom. She can climb in and out of the bed without any problems. The bed frame was pretty easy to assemble and get put together and installed. Its got a really nice white finish on it. The bed frame also features two drawers underneath the bed frame which is really nice for storing clothing or toys. We have been storing toys in it for right now. The wood that the frame is built out of is pretty nice quality wood. Overall this is a very nice bed frame and I would really recommend this bed frame.
I got this so we could move my son out of his toddler bed. His room is also small, so having the extra storage is great. I recommend two people to put this bed together. It takes about an hour or so. Once together it is very sturdy. It compares to furniture from the big stores. It is MDF with a fake espresso veneer. It will scratch easily. The mattress does not fit snugly in the bed. There is an inch or so on the top and bottom, I just tuck the comforter in to fill the space. My sons toddler tail fits on the perfect! It is a perfect expresso color to match our furniture. It looks great once together and is what we needed.
Now my pet peeves with this set. The drawers are small for the amount of space under the bed. One of my drawers would not slide, no matter what I did. This involved the manufacturer sending me new parts, which was an easy and pleasant experience. In the end I discovered that the pre drilled holes on the front piece needed to be moved in and every other part needed cut down in the process. Im picky and did do this in about a half-hour. If your kid is a little older and your drawer sticks I recommend drop down hinges. Those would also allow you to use all the space underneath the bed.
Overall I am happy with it after the adjustments.

We put both beds together in 2 hours. I read the directions and handed him the correct hardware needed for each board. Once you get going it is easy to understand the directions. The beds fit perfectly in the room and are solid heavy beds. I was impressed and happy with this purchase!!
5 parts from the package were damaged, I guess due to delivery. I contacted online Furniture and in less than 24 hours I got a reply, provided the parts codes and got them in 3 business days. Thank you!

great bed all in all! but be careful buying, no labelled pieces was very difficult to assemble, took 4 of us and 5 hours of our time to figure it out, lots of work to assemble without proper/clear instructions, i love the bed now! just a difficult time with set up.
The Twin Mates, Walnut Bed is a great option for anyone furnishing a room on a budget. Its important for purchasers to realize that the bed is made from MDF and Particleboard, and there is truly an art to assembling these products for best results.
Out of the box, we didnt have any scratched or broken pieces, and all hardware was present and intact. The bed includes two drawers and everything is flat packed, so I recommend enlisting someone who is really good at flat pack building. It took my husband around an hour and a half, and hes definitely someone who has a lot of experience and expertise in this style of building. I would expect it would take someone like me, with a lot less experience, around 2-3 hours to build this complex piece of furniture. It does include instructions, but this style of building has a lot to do with intuition and knowing how to treat the particle board and MDF. Anyway, my advice is to definitely find someone who can help you to build the bed.The bed comes together pretty easily, apart from the drawers, which we did find difficult to assemble.
The bed looks great once its put together, and everything glides nicely and smoothly. Our bed didnt have any scratches or issues and has a nice wood finish. The bed has a platform base which eliminates the need for a box spring, which is always great for younger kids who may be prone to falling out of bed.
Ultimately, the cons are the long build time and the delicate nature of MDF, which has lead to other purchasers low reviews. Id recommend this to those familiar with MDF/Particleboard assembly and use.

Great for toddler bed
