I specifically picked the orange ones because in the online photos of the orange version, it showed the X base as being flush with the floor, which I like the look of much better than the ones where the X is elevated about 1/2 or so.

Not too happy about that, I suspect they changed the design so it could be shipped in a smaller, flatter box. Regardless, I wanted what I saw pictures and thats not what I received. I do note that some of the other photos show the elevated base in some of the other colors. If thats all you can get now, they need to update the photos online so people arent deceived like I was.
The other thing is the color of the metal isnt actually gold, its kind of an odd mustard/y color with the teeny tiniest bit of a metallic glint to it. No way would I call it bronze or gold or anything in that family. Regarding assembly, the pieces didnt line up exactly so there was a bit of force involved in screwing it together and you can see where the flanges arent quite flush with the seat frame and legs.
On the plus side the metal frame seems strong and they feel pretty sturdy and stable. I am using them in my office where they will get fairly light use, so theyll work. But I do think they were a little pricey for what I got.
This is the best ottoman , beautifully made looks like it should be far more money than i paid . The best purchase i have made in a long while . Order this you wont be disappointed !!
