this vanity is very simple to put together and overall very sturdy. i was worried it would be unstable or loose in some places but its perfect. the only negative thing i would say is that it does get scratched up easily. my bracelets rub against it sometimes and i have some marks from it. also, im 54 and i can see myself perfectly in the mirror so if you are taller than 55 i would recommend a shorter stool
