Its great for my kids and they love it, but the wood planks that support the mattresses have been a problem and a pain. Half of them werent long enough and several of them snapped when my two year old (23 pounds) laid on it for the first time (top and bottom). We had to replace them for ones at Home Depot but since then its been great.
The screws supplied for the two little vertical bars that tie together the middle of the safety rails on the top bunk are too short. I had to buy 8 x 1/1/2 inch screws to properly fasten those two parts. See picture.
The Allen/hex key that comes with the kit is ruish and started to strip out some of the screw heads. Fortunately I had a proper 3mm one that saved the day.
The wood had one saw mark and some other dings and scratches. I was mostly able to hide these imperfections by making those pieces face the wall. I recommend the plain unstained/natural look because these imperfections are less noticeable.
In my opinion, the beds need more cross slats to support the mattress. They didnt break, but the mattress did sag between slats. So I bought more for about 50 from the Wood to the World store on , product title Bed Slats Solid Pine Wood Slats Twin Bed Mattress Support Wooden Slats 39 in Long x 2.75 in Wide x 0.65 in Depth Pack of 13 Count Single Bed Replacement Parts Custom Size Cutting Service (Twin 39 in). They look identical and came with screws. I probably could have used shorter than 39 inch slats, but I got them a little long and cut them myself.
Perfect but took more than a month to get here, we almost cancelled it more than once but waited because we bought it on sale and it was a good price. The bed is super sturdy, looks pretty, good height and quality too.
Very sturdy. Fairly easy to put together. Kids love it (thats the most important). I am 59 and I felt asleep one night at the bunk bed and was perfect for me as well.
My kids really love it. It was easy enough for my daughter to help me put it together. The color is just right and its not to big not too small. With room to store things underneath the bottom bunk which is a plus. Havent had any issues with the bunkbed. The only thing would be a couple dings and dints on the wood when receiving the box was alittle poorly packaged not a sturdy solid box that has been tapped alot to keep it together. Other than that a nicely made bunkbed that fits nicely together without any problems. The curtains and curtain tracks and lights I purchased through shown in the picture. It really tied the look together
I am really impressed with the durability and style of these bundbeds. For the price I was really worried about durability and that it would not be safe for my two teenage boys due to their age and size. They are not tiny toddlers! But we really needed bunk beds due to the size of their bedroom so we took a chance on these. Quality is great, they are very sturdy and feel solid. My only suggestion is to pay close attention to the directions! Some of the pieces look the same but are not. If you use the wrong pieces youll have it halfway put together and then realize that you have to take it all apart again. But if you follow the directions closely and the labels on each piece it comes together quickly.
The manual was perfectly written, the steps were easy to follow. The quality of the bed was excellent! I purchased this bed for my daughters and they loved! If you follow the instructions youll end up with A great bed!

Youll need to replace the wood panels that support the mattress

Great with some tweaks: Needs more slats
