For thin things such as mobile phones and iPads, the quality is very good and practical. The table is very useful for placing things that are not too heavy, and it is worth it
Originally when I bought this bed, the photos showed there were spaces (direct ladder access) on the top frame by the ladder rungs. It seems that sellers have now updated the photos on this frame. I am a bit disappointed that the purchase of what I had ordered was not indicative of what the photos showed. However, it is still a very good buy with no regrets on the purchase months later.
This is an excellent loft bed. The frame is much more sturdy than the Ikea loft bed it replaced. It can easily take two persons. The slats squeak a little when moving around and getting onto the bed. Rubber ends on the tips of those rods would have made this even better (would have added padding/tape to the brackets had I known prior). It sits lower to the ground though, so it takes some getting used to (remembering) ducking to sit under it. If youre taller than 58, youll have a bad time with this as a workstation space.
Given that this frame is all enclosed at the top, it makes getting in and out a little difficult as you have to climb over it, rather than having direct access to the ladder. I have had a couple near/misses (falling off at the very top) due to this. Opted to use a previous Ikea foam mattress, though it is only 4 thick. Would strongly recommend 6/8 thickness as it would make getting in/out less awkward. As others have said, it would be a good idea to affix some sandpaper to the rungs as slips can happen as well. Stepping on the bottom bar can be awkward and uncomfortable if you have bigger feet.
Desk allows me to fit a large 34 monitor, a couple MIDI controllers and studio speakers on it. LED strip lights were easily mounted under the mattress so no space wasted on bulkier lamps (and no side glare). The rest of my studio gear, desk chair, and drummer seat sits nicely under the desk without having to be sprawled out all over the bedroom.
perhaps a little rickety (if you are really trying to test its sturdiness) but easy to put together and perfect for converting a small guest room into more storage space.
words to the wise:
/pull out all of the parts and make sure theyre all there and make sure you keep the bolts separated into the right piles.
/whatever you do DONT tighten any nut or bolt until you have the whole thing put together. it may seem that its flimsy while you are putting it together but if you tighten anything it will sinch it up way on the other side and wont fit together and by the time youve gotten to the other side youll have no idea what happened. TRUST ME.
/there are probably going to be a bunch of extra bits. dont freak out about leftovers. Very nice quality and looks nice.
We really like this bed. Its sturdy and the desk is solid / another bonus / when my daughter writes on it you cant see the marks! Also fairy lights from Ikea look especially magical because the cords fade inot the black bars. One downer / no entry area to the too bunk. My son has to throw himself over the railing to get on the bed. Loving it so far!
I ordered this bed for my daughter she picked it herself and We put it together in less than 3hrs. well my husband did put it together in less than 3hrs.I did helped reading the instructions though.lol But after WE finished OMG it looked so awesome and so not cheap looking for the price I thought it was going to be more like the ones you find at walmart but NO this one is a better buildLOVE IT and My daughter LOVES IT more and it is for her so I DO RECOMEND THIS BED. NO CONS Me likey!
This is exactly what we were looking for. My son needed a shelf for a drink when he was on his loft bed. This does the trick and even has a little slot for remotes or whatever. Great Buy
After hours of reading reviews Im glad I picked this one. It was annoying to put together. I did it with my husband and it took a couple of hours but since then it has been exactly what we needed. I like that the lower bed is low to the ground for my toddler and has enough head space that I can sit down their with her. My 7 year old is on the upper bunk so Im not sure how it does with bigger bodies, but it has been great for us and should grow well with my kids. Very pleased with this purchase
My daughter really loved having this for her lofted bed at college. She said she couldnt have lived without it. We had the bed on the top setting and it was really difficult to be getting in and out of bed. This was a life saver! perfectly fine with it

Squeaky
Hard to make this thing not squeak with every move. No matter how much you tighten the screws. Returning.
Very good product

Better than an Ikea loft bed!

My daughter loves it! The only con is that the ladder is uncomfortable on her feet while climbing up. Worth every penny.
We like it
