Its already broke. not made for boys. it squeaks when they get in and out and basically anytime they move. It has good space we can all fit on the bed for story time. The ladders on both ends are helpful for the 3year old. Other than that, its a great product!
Prepare to spend a few hours assembling this monster. Concerned how I will ever disassemble this to remove from my sons bedroom in the future. It is sturdy and nice looking. Just a monster once put together. Also concerned the top bunk is too low and son can hit his head in bottom bunk. Debating if we are going to keep it
Love the price. Top bunk is not too high as one we had a few years ago. Ladder is uncomfortable to climb but its not climbed often so thats okay. A great deal overall. Love, love, love it!
I really want to give it 3.5 stars. Bed is okay for price. Took my husband 4 hours to put together. Hes a very handy man but still had a few problems. For one the holes for the ladder did not line up with each other. It was odd. He had to drill 2 hole on the bottom to line up with the 2 on top. 2nd the directions could have been a little better. I read in some of the reviews that people put things on backwards by mistake. We had the same problem. Since the screws are cheap they stripped while trying to loosen them. We had to use a screw stripping set to get them out. This worries me when its time to take it apart to move.
The bed came in one huge heavy box. Im a bit disappointed.
This bed was challenging to put together. All the pieces were present, but some of the posts were slightly bent. It looks attractive when assembled. Functionally, it is very challenging to make the bed with the side rails on all sides of the top bunk, as well as the ladder attached the way it is. You definitely need two people to assemble the bed for some parts. It seems sturdy. Its not bad its just not great.
