The old shell chairs with some cushion and a soft suede like cover. They came well packaged and the legs have a really good wooden simulated paint. One of the tabs that are a part of the screwing was a little bent, but I was able to hammer it flat. The screwing was easy, you just have to fit the legs to the holes. If you like this style, I think you will be happy with the chairs.
First of all, these are adorable. Were sort of doing a Mission/MCM mishmash as our style in our new home and are using them as side chairs in our dining room. They have a nice firm seat with a soft feeling fabric. The legs arent actual wood (theyre steel painted to look like wood) and from a distance it is hard to tell the difference. Theyre easy to assemble which is always a win. Looks great and works great!
For the price, I love these chairs! I painted the legs black (they are so it was super easy to do before assembling). I didnt love the wood look at all but it could match with different decor. They are cry comfortable. I did add scratch pads to the bottoms, they were leaving black marks in my lighter flooring. I had to hand cut each one because the feet are so thin. However, totally doable. Ive had them now for multiple months (with a kid) and they are as good as the day I got them. I highly recommend these chairs if this is your price range.

You cant lean back in the chairs much or they groan. Definitely a great buy for first time apartment owners. You get what you pay for
These are very nice, elegant, sturdy, and comfortable chairs. They are also very easy to assemble. It was one of the easiest and quickest assembly processes I have ever had. I can say that they are comfortable for short to medium/length sitting. The legs are as described however the finish makes them look wooden. One would not tell that they are until getting too close and even touch them. Like I said the assembly is pretty easy but there is one little issue. The screw holes on the legs are cut in a cylindrical shape (one/dimensional). This ensures a match between screw holes on the legs and on the seat and allows you to align/adjust the legs as you tighten the screws. This, however, also caused one of the washers to slide and almost fall into the screw hole on the leg that connects the seat and the chair legs when I tightened the screw. If this happens the washer cannot do its job. But again, this is not a deal/breaker. In conclusion, these are not the best chairs but they are definitely decent enough.
