Just get a good mattress. We did not and that decreases my satisfaction. The kids (6 and 3) love this bunk bed and the cubbies to hide things away. The bottom trundle bed is not on a track. Its on wheels setting on the floor, so it can be a little frustrating to get it aligned so it will slide back under the bottom bunk. The assembly is time consuming, you will need space and two people at minimum. Its a fantastic price.
I would recommend having help to assemble, but I was able to assemble on my own. It arrive much quicker than expected and was in great condition. Instructions are fairly easy to follow and it seems very sturdy. Absolutely awesome product!!

The only thing the frames didnt quite fit into each other so we used the drill alot.
some parts of paint are already chipping off, other pieces arrived broken. If your looking for a bunk bed to last a long time, Id recommend looking for a different bunkbed. This (Im hoping), will last a couple years well see its not very sturdy. Really Happy!!
My husband is a handy man and has been a general contractor. Ive put together countless pieces of furniture. This was a two day ordeal to assemble the bunk bed. Not enough of the correct screws, substandard instructions, holes incorrectly placed. My husband had to run to Lowes to buy more screws and use all his skills to get this thing together. Never again. Im buying any further stuff like this from IKEA. Woof! so you get what you pay for.
Took a little while to assemble but that was to be expected for a large bed. Bought it for my 5 and 3 year old and they LOVE it! Love the steps instead of a ladder; bought some grip tape for extra piece of mind knowing my son will stay safe going up and down at night and during the day. Love the extra storage drawer underneath! Wood was a little warped for the back of the drawer but it wasnt a huge deal, we just added a few extra screws to make it flush and tight. The slats for the mattress were kind of questionable so we added board on top of them for a little extra sturdiness (only on top bunk) just because I get paranoid about it breaking and falling on my daughter. Would 100 recommend get this bed! Great price and quality! Great find!!
Product will stand and look good. Use should be fairly gentle as bed is not heavy and does flex when jumped onto by 4 yr old boy. Instructions are not clear but can be followed. You will notice mistake 2steps after in assembly then have to undo and redo, so bring patience.
Manufacture damage can also be an issue. I was lucky and only had minor damage. In end the bed is good, steps are steep and short but easy to climb.
Lower bed is strong enough to hold my weight. I weigh about 215lbs. Many many many screws and I still came up short one.
Overall satisfied, it will last and work. This was definitely a good choice.
