I was searching all over for a cute end table for my sons room, but everything I found was overpriced for cheap material. I found this and knew it would be perfect! Where else can you buy a solid wood piece of furniture for less than 40.I stained the shelves and painted the legs, and I am SO happy with how it turned out! I forgot to sand it first, but it really didnt even need it. A lot of reviews talk about how the lower shelf holes are not predrilled, and theyre not, BUT if you look closely there are little divots where the screws should be placed. I think this is brilliant because it makes it easy to place if you want it there, but gives you the option to put it somewhere else if you want a specific look. The wood is fairly hard so getting the screws in were a little difficult (probably should have used a drill), and one of the leg bolts came out when I attached it so I had to glue it back in (not the end of the world). Lastly, it does teeter just a liiiiittle which drives me cry, but I have it on carpet and its not even noticeable now. Overall, super pleased with this little table and think the value cant be beat!
I like this table. It took under 20 minutes to put together, looks good, and is sturdy. I was looking for a smaller end table and this filled that need. It was also packed very well. Beats the cheap particle board products you find everywhere nowadays and for the same price. Stains up nice. Very happy with purchase
It has been years since I purchased furniture of this quality wood. Hard wood, beautiful grain /and the easiest instructions, simple assembly. One issue, you will need a drill to put in the screws for the braces. Instructions say use a screwdriver, but that wood is not the soft pine or particle board of most self/assemble furniture. You will need a drill but for the incredible quality of the side tables, it is a small issue.
I bought two of these thinking that would suffice as end/tables and I could finish them myself. They are actually made of hardwood, and comes together solidly. I added a dark walnut stain and they look very good. My only complaint is that the holes for the bottom shelf bracket screws were not well drilled in one table, and werent there at all in the other. This was quickly fixed with my drill and the proper sized drill bit. For such low cost, I expect issues, but the materials are excellent. I was able to buy them for 40 each, and turn them into 200+ tables for just a few bucks of walnut stain and satin poly, and a couple hours of my time added. Thats a win in my book!
It looks okay. It seems sturdy. However, the included hardware was off. I was missing a lock washer bit had three extra screws. I needed my electric screw driver to get the screws into the holes. I dont have man hands.
The instructions were a little oversimplified and difficult to understand but luckily it was easy enough that I didnt need the instructions. I even made some modifications to the shelf height. Its very sturdy and I think it will last a long time.
