I got this for our balcony because our place faces the afternoon/early evening sun and it tends to get HOT . It took us about ten minutes to put it together and secure it adequately. Weve had some fairly robust windstorms and rain, and its held up beautifully.

We had a fairly brisk wind the other day and I noticed the umbrella seemed to flex a bit where the two pole pieces come together. Well see how long the plastic surrounding that point holds up (see image).
The umbrella does come with a metal pin that you insert in the pole as a safety feature in case the cord that raises the umbrella should break (second image). The pin should stop the umbrella from folding down. If there is any wind the umbrella tends to lift and eventually the pin slides out (last image).
The price before discount was overpriced; the discounted price was fair.

The tilt mechanism is either a bad design or crappy material.
The tilt broke soon after purchase badly cast mechanism it fell apart inside then shot the spring across the yard. dont buy this brand
