I have been daunted by the many rather small metal pieces required to assemble this bed so have not done so within the 30 days Ive had it but I must write a review.
Once I gather up the courage to begin putting it together I will update this review. It did arrive with the box coming apart but I believe all the pieces are intact. It IS very heavy. I will write more soon / sorry. Just what I needed!!
I just got done assembling the bed together. It took me about 2 hours and a half.
Nobody has slept in it yet but it looks strong and doesnt look flimsy.
The down part i see now is that when you turn the futon into a bed you need to move the whole bed back to let the back frame fall down against the wall. Great,Happy with it
Researched for a while and glad we ended up with this bed for our 6 year old. Looks great, doesnt take up a huge amount of floor space and is solid when put together. Took about 3 hrs to put together; a lot of pieces but many steps are repetitive (ie the bed slats) so it goes pretty quickly. It served my purpose perfectly.
I built this myself in about two hours. To be fair, this is my second one of these. The first one was so good and worked so well for our family that we decided that another one would be a good idea. The overall quality is quite good and the comfort and stability are also very good. Do make sure that you anchor the bed to the wall with the included hardware for optimum stability and safety.
We find that the versatility of the Futon / Bunk Bed really works for us. Each kid can have a twin bed and a sofa in their bedroom. They seem to enjoy that a great deal. When they need it, they have an extra bed for sleep overs, etc.
I just cant see anyone being disappointed with these beds. Just make sure that you find good mattresses for the twin on top and the futon on the bottom and youll be very happy with this bed. and Wal/Mart offer awesome compressed mattress in a box options that can be shipped to your home very quickly super fast or picked up in your local store (Wal/Mart) if you just cant wait two days.

Took forever to get here, product was in the city for over a week with reoccurring weather delivery delays box was smashed to smithereens and the metal was All kinds of dented. This bunkbed is Allan key assembly only and has a million pieces. Some pages of instructions arent well illustrated and has typos on one page so look for that. Whole thing shakes when my 5 year old climbs the ladder. So disappointed for what I paid!
This bed only lasted about 6 months before the futon pieces broke and would no longer stay in the seated position. Now a year later, even after tightening, it wobbles and squeaks too much to get any sleep.Very disappointed with this purchase.
It is very difficult to get into the top bunk as the rail goes straight across. The last bunk bed I had like this had a dip in the rail where the ladder goes it was much better. Also the ladder steps could be a bit broader or flattened where the foot steps / they hurt the feet to climb on. Otherwise very good and sturdy. Futon folds up and down easily and licks into place well. Please with this purchase

Strong but need room behind frame.

So Good We Picked Up Another / Great Versatile Bunk Bed / Futon

Disliked the fact there were no mattresses with it. Had to buy them extra. Excellent value for what I paid
