I expected it to look a little more cheap, but it looks terrific. It is sturdy / I have had two houseguests use it, and they were impressed. No squeaks!
The box it comes in is very smartly packed, a very long box. It is a really heavy box, so I took out a few parts at a time to take them to the third floor of my home. Single parts are pretty light and easy to carry.
The instructions made it very simple to assemble by myself within 20 minutes / and I sometimes get confused with spatial relations (I have to turn the map whichever direction Im going to not get lost!) This was so easy!
Update: after a few months and several guests who have slept on the bed, I can say people report it is very comfortable, sturdy, and makes no noise when they toss and turn. Im very happy with this! Simple and does the job.
I love love love this bed frame because it gives me minimalistic Japanese feels. Reminiscent of my parents old futon platform bed. Ive had it for over a month and Ive heard no squea or crea from it.

Its a mattress, but not memory foam as it doesnt return to the original state after a few weeks usage. Creates dimples in the mattress, and causes pain to sleep on / gonna try a 10 inch instead of 6 inches from another company. Im 185 lb Interesting.
We live in Hawaii so returns are NOT an option for big items like this. Also no , only REAL expensive HEAVY furniture, so we took a gamble on this. It arrived super fast for some reason, and although heavy, the package was quite compact! The outer package was a little dinged, but it was packed inside an inner cardboard box! The package came with some lovely cards and instructions, the ratchet tool I saw everyone talk about in the reviews really did live up to the hype.
Assembled quickly, really easily. We got the 14 and it is REAL HIGH. Ive never had a bed this high. I can actually roll under it! I can fit entire plastic bins under there. Im thin my cat is gonna live under there.
The slats have a double stick tape that we didnt use, since we have an allergy protector on our mattress it didnt seem like it would make sense to stick it to the protector. The mattress does move, and we do push it back when its 1/2 over on one side but it hasnt caused any disasters. I do with it had some kind of lip though, to eliminate this problem. A 2 lip wouldnt change the design much imo. It doesnt squeak but weve only had it for about a month so Ill update if it develops any issues. So far it looks really nice! Good.
For a small space, I loved the storage area under the bed, and the freedom to store without drawers which limit the overall storage area. I store 2 suitcases, my shoes and my winter bedding underneath, and it all fits perfectly, sliding far enough back that the items arent visible.
It was deliver on the promised day. The packaging had a couple of dings but the materials inside were unmarred.
The packaging was just right enough to prevent dings on the wood and , but not so much that it took more time to unwrap than to assemble. There were no issues with any of the pieces.
Putting it together was a breeze. Took a rather small person (me) about 15 minutes total. There was a little jiggering necessary to get everything lined up with just one person, but partially tightening in stages was a very successful approach. All materials necessary to assemble were in the package and the instructions were very clear.
It looks great, and I havent experienced any squea at all. All in all, aming value for a very attractive product. This is the first item of furniture that I have purchased online, and I have no regrets. Perfect.
