simple, firm, comfortable. A few oddities during assembly, one of the washers was the wrong kind, some discoloring of the paint, takes a 15-20 minutes to assemble with the included tool (would be quicker w/ power tools). Certainly a good value. Shipping was quick.
Wood finish on seat was spotty and thin. I debated on returning them. I decided to lightly sand them and apply a couple coats of clear lacquer. Much improved. They look very nice now.
Could have been well over 5 star product, had I not experienced an issue with one of the screws. A screw won't screw in to a hole no matter what. looks like the hole never had threads for a screw. Rest all are good though.
Overall, not disappointed much would have been happy had this not happened.

Better than described. Soft and plush and easy to assemble. The four stools took about 25 minutes to asemble
