Well I wasnt for sure about buying a door in a box I bought 2 / 28 inch doors the first one took about 20 minutes to put together but the second one took only 10 minutes to assemble very easy and very nice looking the hardware to hang the doors were simple to install my wife loved them would recommend them to anyone
After staining all of the wood during assembly I laid a small line of wood glue in each channel of the tong and groove wood. The door is very sturdy and has a great expensive look to it after it was installed. I am very satisfied with this purchase and plan to order three more doors for my home remodel.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to assemble and looks great. Actually a great value for the money. The quality of the wood is a lot better than I expected. Didnt give it 5 stars because in the kit I received, i got two bottom pieces instead of a bottom and a top. Only difference between the two pieces is the bottom pieces have a slot for the bottom track. Now my door has a slit on the top (which noone can see anyhow). The piece still fit so I was able to use the door without any modifications. I would recommend this door to anyone. I would purchase again if I have another barn door project.
The door was pretty easy to assemble. The only difficulty I had was the instructions for mounting the j/hook rollers. The measurements did not work well with the door design.
Great product !! After staining the door was easily assembled !! Beat the prices of competitors by hundreds of dollars ! Would definitely recommend this door and company !!
So In the end I really do like the door and the price is right. However, It is poorly made and it definitely required modifications for it to work for us. The wood kept splitting and you will get a rustic look. Not a clean modern look / So do not buy if that is what you are looking for. It is definitely a shabby chic barn door! I would recommend paying a little extra if you are not patient or handy. It also has a door handle for only one side That seemed odd to me!
It was somewhat easy to assemble but awkward to handle. The finish on it needed to be sanded quite a bit. Directions were not very clear on assemble especially with the hardware. Still have not hanged it. So difficult to determine if it was worth it.
The package arrived with one of the primary A side boards twisted such that it could not be used. Contacted seller who immediately sent me two more, one if which was also warped (ie, 50 usable). Other than poor quality control by seller, this is a good product.

Great barn door

Bad directecions and missing hardware.
The directions were awful. They were missing screws but my husband went to Home Depot and bought some screws and made it work.

Pleased as punch! You never know what the quality is going to be but this is fantastic and the door is all wood!
