Right out of the box and ready to go. It is great. I highly recommend if you are looking for something for a space saver. It looks just like a ottoman. But opens so easily to make a bed for extra people staying over. I would recommend a topper if its an Adult. Kids would be fine. We are really happy with it. I love it space saver I am back to buy another one.
It lets out into a comfortable bed wider than a twin size bed. It is sturdy and comfortable. It can be placed in 4 different positions and the head piece can be adjusted as well. I had to look at the video to figure out how to adjust the head piece. Nonetheless, it is a good buy especially for a small apartment or sleepover. Easy directions.
I live in a small apartment and my kids will slide this up next to my sofa to extend the space. They feel like it is a queen bed. They navigate between a split home so it has worked out wonders in that extra bed as well. Wow!! This was a great buy!!
