I spent a good time looking at the reviews for this bed, so have included my take on the negative ones here. But before I go on, the bed is definitely a great value for what youre getting. The drawers underneath are spacious and exactly what I needed for my small room (replaced my buying a dresser), and of course the design is very attractive.
That all said, I can attest to a few flaws: 1. The center support leg does not touch the floor--I put some heavy duty felt pads underneath it to remedy this, 2. The material is susceptible to scratches/tearing--I was very gentle in my assembly but it seems when I slid the mattress on top a tiny piece of one of the drawers came off, 3. The slats for this bed are euro slats and are curved accordingly, this is probably why so many people have had issues with the slats. The rest of the structure is stable if you tighten everything properly, but I imagine with time I may end up replaced the slats with straight ones. I can also feel the curvature a bit beneath my mattress since i only have a 6inch thick one.
Overall, great value and youre getting what you pay for, but I would definitely add something under the center support leg and consider replacing the slats if youre concerned about weight-bearing.
I love the bed although I will have to get used to it being so low to the ground. The assembly instructions were the best I have ever seen....included literally everything you needed to know. Very impressed!
