After reading other reviews about assembly issues (and having assembed other tedious kit furniture like this), I was prepared for a lot of frustration when receiving this stand, but instead was pleasantly surprised. It went together in little less than 2 hours and I found the instructions clear, all holes where they should be, and no missing parts. Maybe they have made some instruction updates, since they do have some good cut-aways to highlight critical steps.
Tip for future assemblers: Really focus on getting two things to match the instructions to avoid issues with drawers not closing properly:
1. Alignment of the correct screw holes in the cabinet rails. There are a lot of holes in the metal rails and it would be easy to use the wrong ones.
2. Correct front-back orientation of parts 13 and 14... if you get that backwards I imagine the file drawer will permanently stick out like Ive seen in some pictures.
My main gripe: that nasty styrofoam used for packing. (I opened it outside to keep that evil stuff from attaching to everything inside)
It’s perfect! Matches my black desk perfectly. Easy to assemble. Just make sure you put the on right. Only two lock so you want to make sure they’re on the same side!
I was not able to assemble alone, as I have some physical issues. I explained this to the company and they completely understood. and worked with me to get the work done. I’m very impressed with them, and intend to purchase more of their merchandise.
Took me about 2 hrs to assemble alone. All parts were provided and easily marked. Only issue was that file drawer pilot holes were about 1/2”off, so drawer wouldn’t close all the way. I just drilled new pilot holes, no big deal. It’s a little wonky to wheel around, but I’m not planning to move it often.
This cabinet is NOT a flimsy little piece of crap. It is about 5 times more heavy duty than I expected and I am very happy with the value for the money. Although its a small(ish) cabinet, Im glad it has as I wouldnt want to have to carry it around. Lots of assembly and I hated the styrofoam packing, but I ended up with the most solid particle board cabinet Ive ever seen. Definitely 10/10 for value. I just wish the drawers locked...
I needed a filing cabinet that would offer a little bit more storage and fit right within a 3 foot section in my office. This was exactly the right size. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the review about how the assembly was hard and how some people couldnt get the drawers to align perfectly.
I did find the assembly was a bit tricky, but with proper reading and carefully looking at the pictures I was able to do it all by myself and didnt have any major issues. The draws with the ball bearing were a little tricky, but once they went in, everything lined up perfectly and they dont rub against edges. I found that the cabinet got completely secure (didnt feel any movement when I shake it) once I added the backing.

Good value for the price. Assembly tedious but smooth.
