This was easy for one person to assemble and is sturdy enough for an adult in the top bunk (which I have to do to make up the upper bunk). My 6 year grandson had no problem with the vertical ladder, though the 4 year old was hesitant. The bunks have numerous, closely spaced metal slats, which would work fine for an ordinary mattress. However, since I was using natural latex mattresses, I added sheets of 1/4 inch formaldehyde free plywood on top of the slats and below the mattresses. I particularly liked the fact that you can assemble it various configurations to fit the needs of the room.
My daughter loves the bed. However read carefully if you buy a used one for a better price. It didnt come with any of the hardware, or the instruction manual. Which I was pretty shocked by, its comes in SEVERAL pieces.
Bought this to go under my boys bottom bunkbed for sleepovers. Already put some good use to it as my 6 yr old wants to stay with his big brothers and ends up sleeping on it most nights. Its very sturdy, rolls out easily (even on carpeted floor and for a 6 yr old). All in all this trundle is well made, simple to put together and we are very happy with our purchase!
We were ready for a big girl bed for our 2nd daughter... but not quite ready for bunk beds. This was a fantastic solution. We fit a toddler bed under this junior loft. Our 18 month old fits absolutely fine, even I (55) fit sitting underneath. My older daughter is thrilled as the top bunk and she can now share her twinkle lights ( we wrapped them under the bars for her sister below so they both have twinkles and no choking hazards.) My 140lb mom in law got up on top to adjust the curtain and there was a little wiggle but nothing you wouldnt notice from usual bed wiggle. My 5 year old had no problems negotiating the ladder shelves after 2 practice runs. I cant get her out of it now.
Sturdy, east to build (Im 17 and did it all myself and it was a breeze). Im 180 and it doesnt rock or tremble under my weight. I even chose not to attach the side brackets and it still works great. Though I do not personally like the placement of the ladder, it works just fine.
We ordered two of these for our kids room at our summer house. The white is a little more beachy. My father and sister in law put both together in less than 4 hours, which we thought was pretty good timing. The directions were pretty clear, but you need to lay out the pieces and take your time to read carefully. We added gripper tape to the ladder so the kids dont slip going up and down if they have socks on them. It feels very sturdy and safe.
I searched and searched for a loft bed for my 8 year old son. I ended up getting this one and best decision ever!! Very easy to put together and very sturdy. It comes in an extremely heavy box so be careful with that but otherwise I recommend this bed to anyone looking!
Putting this together was a chore. Some metal parts were not correct, including one of the mattress supports. It was bent! Its put together, but I dont have a lot of faith in the construction. Id buy a different one next time.
I was a little scared getting this bed. Its designed for children but Im an adult and on the heavy side (215lbs). I really needed the space and the place I chose wouldnt accommodate a full loft bed so I took a chance. I was very surprised. I assembled the bed myself in a few hours. There were a few mistakes because I wasnt paying attention. Lay out the parts and hardware of each section before you put it together and it will save a lot of time and grief. The bed is very sturdy even though it does wobble a bit. But I grew up on bunk beds. Unless they were made of thick wood or steel, they all wobled. If its worrisome it does have a bracket to secure it to the wall. Youll have to provide the rest of the hardware to do that. Making the bed does take some ingenuity so I suggest keeping it simple. Rolling blankets and decorative pillows go a long way. The only thing I work with is the sheets and the bed spread. The closer they fit the mattress the better.
I almost forgot about the ladder. If youre over 3ft tall it might be a bit much. The spacing is a bit small and bars can cause discomfort for those on the heavier end of the scale, but it is definitely doable. A few tweaks and theres no issue at all. But Im lazy and decided to go the step ladder route. It makes it easier to make the bed and I can place the ladder anywhere I need it. I have ladder where the highest step measures three feet. Its ok for me at 58. It still takes a little acrobatics to get over the top railing so Im going to find a ladder where the top step is four feet.

Straightforward assembly and sturdy
