I did not like the plastic pieces that connect the metal bars to the bed. doesnt seem like it will hold up The other thing was shipping. The bed needs to be better protected when shipped. The box was tore in many places but thankfully there were only 2 scratches and they will not be seen. The bed is very pretty and hopefully it will hold up.
This frame looks aming in my grandma chic guestroom with a patchwork quilt, braided rug, and lace curtains. It took us about a half hour to put together. It seems fairly sturdy, although I would not feel super confident putting two large adults in it or letting rowdy kids jump on it. It is squeeky. Im sure all metal beds are. Really, really pretty.
I want to buy this kind of bed frame for a long time. I like it very much after I installed it. It is the style I always wanted. It is a very good iron bed frame. It looks simple and elegant, it is easy to install, it is very strong and safe, and the quality is super good.
Im a little frustrated with this purchase. Part of the metal was bent and it was so hard to get the other side in. We had to have someone come and bend the metal so we could fit it together. It doesnt get completely tight on that side either. It looks great but we will have to be very careful with this piece
Bought this for my new apartment, it was fairly straight forward to assemble. The horizontal supporting rods across the frame that support the mattress are secured by these bizarre cheap plastic clips that barely work. But the biggest issue / this thing SQUEAKS like you would not believe. It literally wakes my partner and I up when the other one (or the dog!) moves. It is a very cute bed and weve already sunk the cost into it, so weve been trying to find ways to fix it with wd40, tighting screws etc. It works for about 48 hours and then it squeaks again. I really just wish wed spent more up front and gotten something sturdier. Really regret buying this bed. If Id written this review after having it for two nights, I wouldve said 5 stars! But 6 weeks in, Im telling you. buy something else.
The bed frame looks great; exactly like the picture. The only problem was there was one piece that was a little bent when it arrived and you dont need all of the tools on the tool sheet so I spent extra money that wasnt needed.
I was not expecting much when I bought this bed. It was supposedly a temporary bed while I moved into another house. It surprised me though.it will stay as a guest bed. Was super easy to assemble; and pretty sturdy so far. I bought a foam mattress for it that fit perfectly. Even has tabs to keep the mattress from sliding off. Time will tell/ but for the money/ you cant beat it.
3.5 stars/ and not for any really bad issues, just some that tend to add up. 1, building it by myself wasnt difficult, although I did think of Twister a few times trying to find a position to hold up a bar and screw it in. It took roughly 3 hours thanks to all the screwing. The last step, putting the bars down that hold the mattress, did get me confused for a second. There are these black plastic things that snap into the frame. Snap one in, then stick the bar into the plastic hole, go to the other side, place the other plastic piece onto the bar and snap it into the frame. It took me a minute to figure this out because the manual doesnt explain how to assemble this last part. 2, quality isnt bad, but it isnt the best. Not terrible, just.meh, you can tell the metal is a little thin. 3, the real part that made me write a review and take down a star. In a way I guess its my fault for not foreseeing this, but if your mattress is short enough, like 10 inches or under, and you sleep on your stomach, then there might be a time when your toes get caught between your mattress and the metal bar of the foot board. Which also means if youre tall and your feet tend to dangle off the bed, your legs/feet might get scrunched up by the bar blocking them. Im 54 for reference. A good cheap frame overall for what I need right now, but Ill be buying a new one in the future for sure.
