Other reviewers said the bed is easy to assemble but I didnt find it so. One hole early on was blocked and I couldnt get the screw in; two parts were labeled with the same letter even though they were different the long sides of the bed which totally threw off the rest of the build including the stairs which arent parallel: and the slats that go across under the mattress are a total pain to securethe slats are short width/wise and its not clear which part the screws should go into to secure to the frame. It would have been even harder if we didnt have an electric screwdriver. Took several hours to put together and one part at the top is cracking, perhaps because we didnt build it correctly.
Difficulty building and questionable sturdiness aside, the bed looks like it does in the pictures and is simple and cute. The white is more of an off/white / cream color. There is enough room underneath to put a full mattress perpendicular to the loft bed. There is room for a child to play or sleep underneath but not and adult to fully sit up I thought I could read to her underneath but theres not enough overhead clearance. You definitely need a mattress 6 or shorter to be safe; our 11 mattress is much too thick
Very nice bed. My kiddos love it. However, the assembly was terrible. The step by step direction were detailed but I had to losses the screws from the previous step to make the next set of screws fit. It was a pain. Perhaps, if I would have had another person helping me it would have been easier, but regardless the loosening of the previous screws to make the next metal bar fit into place was really irritating. It took much longer to put together than necessary because of this. So plan to spend 3 hours or so to put it together.
This bed is a great size for a 7 year old. The 7 year old also helped me set it up, so it was pretty easy to put together. The price is fair, just make sure you get the same size mattress as the dimensions state.
It took hours to put together, a regular mattress is too tall to facilitate the safety rails being safe, the ladder hurts to climb, and the loft itself is the right hight to bonk your head on.
Once the bolts are tightened it seems pretty sturdy.

Worried about getting him a normal sized loft bed. Hes 4 and this one was perfect. Saves floor space in his room, but its not too tall to scare him

My 2 year old live it, we also made the bottom section into a fort with some curtains.
