I got a Leesa mattress a year ago and had been using my old boxspring as a base which is not really how youre suppose to sleep on them. I am so happy that I finally bought a platform bed for it. The feel is totally different and I feel like I hot a better nights sleep. The frame took my about an hr to assemble and it took 2 people. Its sturdy and just high enough for a short tote to slide under. I would definitely purchase again for other bedrooms. Worked for my use.
Ease of assembly: Very easy. All the nuts and bolts are provided in an organized package. A single hex key is sufficient to use on all of them. The provided ratchet screwdriver was an added bonus. All the holes that need to be aligned have matching numbers.
Sturdiness: Surprised by how sturdy it is! If you assemble it correctly, there is very little twisting movement that is possible along any of the axes.
Height: The low height was perfect for adding a higher mattress (11.8 in) to get to a reasonable bed height. Very helpful.
It was so easy. I watched A YouTube video prior to assembling. So I followed It and the directions. Very easy. Came with everything to assemble as well. Very compact.
Bed is just as advertised however carrier was rough with my shipment. The box it came in was gashed all around and I noticed marks on the bed rail. Im not returning Because they are not noticeable and the bed is still functional. To ship it would be too much of a hassle for me. I will try and write an updated review once Ive slept in it a few times. Well made. It was just what I wanted.
Absolutely love this frame. It does not sqweek. If is smartly designed! The tooling was cool and super easy to put together! Highly recommend!! Will be ordering more.
I love how sturdy this bed frame is and how beautiful it looks. I was a little nervous since I live alone and would have to assemble this by myself. But it was easy! And it only took me about 1 hour. Not currently using a box spring. However, I might buy one in the future to help protect the mattress. Very happy.
The wood on this bed is seriously pretty. I wanted something with a cherry finish and this meets my expectations. The bed is sturdy and the slats are sufficiently close together to support a foam mattress, which is what I have.
You dont need to have any tools on hand to put it together because it comes with everything you need. It comes with a regular allen wrench as well as the cutest tiny ratchet, which is very helpful in tightening things up. You will use both things since some spots are tighter than others to get into.
The box is heavy, but the UPS guy brought it into my foyer. It was too heavy for me to drag down the hall to my bedroom, so I opened the box and hauled the parts to my room. Im a tiny woman in my 50s and I was able to get the bed put together within 30/60 minutes. I have to guess because the time flew by! The bed comes together quickly, but the directions can be a bit confusing. I felt like the parts were labeled differently than they were in the instructions, so once I got the gist of how a corner goes together, I just put the rest of the bed together in the same way. Youll have an easier time if you leave all your bolts loose until you get the last bolts in, then tighten them kitty corner to each other. After that, I went all around for a final tighten.
It doesnt have a lip to keep your mattress on the frame, so it will slide unless you use the sticky strips on the slats. They are labeled, so you cant miss them. Theres one on each end of the slats (on the queen, at least, the slats come in two sections / top and bottom). After you peel the backing off of these strips, your mattress wont slide. At least it doesnt for me, tho I only weigh 135lbs.
The takeaway is that this is a gorgeous bed, especially for the price. I looked at more expensive ones just like it, but they didnt have the wood color I wanted, so I went with . Im happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a bed in this style. It arrived quickly and undamaged, was easy and fast to put together, can be assembled by one person, and looks just gorgeous. Worth a buy.
