My mom and I assembled this together. It did take quite a while maybe a couple hours? But its worth it. Very sturdy and pretty. Supports my memory foam mattress just fine without any bedsprings. I chose the higher setting and its great for getting in and out of bed, even though I have some mobility limitations.
I liked the bed except of one thing: After the mattress and box spring were on the bed frame, they fit so tightly that I had GREAT difficulty making the bed . The mattress was too tight against the ned frame. I did not want to deal with this on a regular basis. After returning the bed, I found that the length can be extended with a specifically designed apparatus for this. But it was too late because I had paid to have the bed assembled and then to have it disassembled and then carried it to the UPS store to have it sent back.
A little difficult to assemble but worth it, its a pretty bed and ready for a foam mattress didnt need a box spring due to the slats so that was great. Was able to spend more on my mattress due to the good bargain. Sturdy so far!
I bought the grey one, queen size. It looks so good in my bedroom! I assembled using the lower frame. If you want to store items underneath, I would assemble using the taller frame. Once I put all my pillows on it, I definitely made the right choice of keeping it lower. Very sturdy, doesnt squeak at all. Very happy about this purchase!
I was very pleased with this bed frame went together quite easily and is remarkably solid feeling and quiet. Will be buying another for the other spare room
