I moved and bought this bed at a very good price. The bed was put together by friends who said it took a few hours (3Hrs) to put together. It is a very sturdy bed. I am a plus size person and there is no squeaking so far (2 weeks in). I would definitely recommend it.
First of all, I love the way this bed looks. Its exactly what I thought it would look like. With that said, two months into owning it, it squeaks every time I move around. Im afraid that all my neighbors can hear me. For this reason, I would not buy it again.
This bed was relatively easy to put together with good clear instructions. Based on other reviews I made sure to tighten all the screws on the frame. We chose the lower position and used a 12 inch memory foam mattress directly on the frame / no foundation. I am very pleased with how it turned out for our guest room!
