This is my second loft bed purchase. I have no complaints because this time around I am not climbing up the metal bars. You could definitely cut tape pool noodles for padding.
My daughter enjoys this because she has place space underneath her bed. Her room is literally taken up by her bed. Im happy with my purchase
I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the build. All parts and pieces are sturdy and easy to assemble. If you are handy, then this can be assembled simply with one person (approx. 2 hrs). Two people will cut the time in half. The bed is a little creaky and will move some when getting on, off and during sleep but it still feels very stable. I would recommend some pool noodles or a type of wrap to make ladder rungs more comfortable when climbing barefoot. The mattress we purchased was an 8 full and is perfect height to the rails (midway). The mattress is a very tight fit so fitting bedding can be a bit of a struggle, but its never easy to change on raised beds. Overall I was more than happy with this purchase and my son loves it in his new room. No complaints, really happy
You must look at the hole.placement carefully when using the instructions to assemble the bed. Sides came together nicely and then were moved into the room for final assembly. Took about an hour or so to complete. It is definitely quicker and easier with two people helping. We opted to not attach to the wall and it is still fairly stable. Just wish it also offered front or back entry to the loft in addition to the side entry. simple yet awesome design

Super sturdy, perfect fit and height to go over our queen bed to make an L bunk bed. Great product! cant praise it enough!
